I won't use the elevator because I don't want to slow myself down. I'm heading for the stairs just when my phone rings. I look at it and it's...
... Chota.
No longer my boss.
I sigh a shaky breath and answer the call.
"Sani, I heard about your little accident at the restaurant." He says.
He rarely calls me 'Sani'... He's being too kind for nothing.
"So?" I ask walking down the stairs. Eyebrows furrowed. My whole expression showing concern.
"Maybe this is your kind way of saying that you're quitting?" he asks.
My heart begins beating faster. This is the moment in which everything can change. He's giving me chance... To explain myself.
I stop in one place. I probably shouldn't leave. I open my mouth to explain myself, why I killed those guys...so that he could understand and let me stay...
" Yes. I'm quitting." I say instead. The words leaving my mouth in the last second. I would've been sorry if I decided to stay. I do this for my own good. I continue walking down the stairs.
I hear him take a deep breath throught his nose, ready to say something.
"And I'm coming for you."I warn him.
He laughs.
" You sure you wanna do this? What did I ever do to you? "
I freeze in one place. How does he even have the audacity?
I was coming from a bank robbery. Almsot getting caught by the cops. A few other members of the group too.
" Great, you are again on the news. You are gonna make us famous Sanya." I hear a high pitched voice just when I enter the building and snap my head at the girl. Krakra.
"Yes, next time try not to make yourself appear on the news." Chota says but is serious. Instead I focuse myself on Krakra who laughs after his words.
"Next time try to do it yourself if you think it's so easy." I say and they both turn their heads to me. "Krakra." I add so that Chota wouldn't think that I'm talking about his Majesty.
She narrows her eyebrows and jumps down from the table and heads towards me. I stay in one place and drop the big bag with the cash behind me. While the other boys are putting their stuff down and talking about how exhausted they are at the other end of the room I'm over here getting in an argument with the dumbest bitch in the group.
"Repeat that again? I didn't udnerstand?" she asks provokingly.
I scoff. "How would you? You barely have the brain cells to speak, leave aside understand words." I say with a cocky smile.
The next second she swings at me and I quickly step back, dodging the punch. She was always too slow. I catch her outstretched arm and spun her around and then at the peak of my speed I let go of her arm and she falls two meters ahead of me. Now all eyes are on us when I get on top of her and raise my fist. I punch her once. I punch her twice. Her nose is broken already. I was going to land a third punch but that's when my arm is stopped and I turn around. All of a sudden someone smacks me so hard across the face, that I see stars for a few seconds. I groan and open my eyes, realising I'm a few meters away from my previous position and on my back.
"No fights between our own." Chota says. His figure standing above me like some God. So high above me.
"She started it!" I yell out. The next moment his kick lands on my stomach and I cough. Another kick is sent to my stomach and I feel like I'm getting sick. I curl myself into a ball so that he won't be able to hit any vital parts of my body.
