Last week was nothing special; he went to school, worked, and went home. The only thing new is that he finally got a friend! Personally, I wouldn't consider it a friend just yet since they've only met and talked a couple of times, but Hyunjin was happy to meet him, and if he says they're friends, then they are.

"What's your next class?" he asked. "Arts," Hyunjin replied. This is his first time attending art class since he only had it once a week and decided to skip that class last week. "Okay, see you around," he replied.

"Bye Minho hyung" Hyunjin then rushed to class because he was running late.

Gladly, he arrived just before the teacher entered. He sat down on a vacant seat and brought out his art materials. Just as he was going to put his bag on the seat beside him, he noticed that a bag was already there. Guess he had a seatmate after all; talking about seatmates, the owner of the bag arrived.

"I didn't know you had art class too, Seungmin." He had been seatmates with Seungmin every day in homeroom class for a week straight now, but Seungmin was still cold. Maybe he just doesn't really want to be friends. "Of course, you wouldn't know. We were both at the library last time."

That made sense

"We will be testing everyone's creativity and cooperation today. We will learn art while discovering things about one another."

Seungmin was getting bored; why won't she just get to the point?

"What I'm saying is that today you guys will be partnered with the people beside you for an art project worth 100 points." Seungmin looked beside him only to see Hyunjin.

After the teacher explained, they were given the rest of the time to talk about it with their designated partners.

"We must create art that symbolizes our struggles as teenagers? Isn't that a bit hard since we all have different experiences?" Hyunjin asked the teacher, "That's the point, be creative with it."

That answer wasn't helpful at all.

"So, where do we start?" Seungmin looked unbothered; to be fair, he always looked like that. "How about telling me about yourself? Then I'll tell you about me too." Hyunjin was intrigued to know what Seungmin was like- what he had hidden behind that quiet and cold persona of his.

"There isn't much there really, how about you go first?"

Really now?

"Well..." The conversation started rough, but soon after, they both began to feel comfortable enough to talk. "Really? It must be cool to have a pilot for a dad, my dad is just an asshole." They talked until class ended.

"How about we do this project at my house?" Seungmin offered. "Sure, here's my number. Send me the address there." Hyunjin was happy that Seungmin finally warmed up to him; hopefully, this will continue.

He honestly found working at the convenience store boring- not until he met Minho, who began to work there last week, and discovered that they both go to the same school. Though they had no similar classes, they still managed to have lunch together.

"Why so eager to leave Hyunjin? Are you tired of seeing hyungs face?" Minho said jokingly. Hyunjin has been looking at the clock every 15 seconds. The truth is, he was excited to go to Seungmin's house. He wondered what his room would look like, would there be pictures of him when he was little? Would there be paintings hanging on the wall? Would there be-

"Hello? Earth to Hyunjin?" Hyunjin was lost in his thoughts again. "Sorry hyung, I was just thinking about my art project."

Was he though?

"Don't stress yourself. I'm sure with that artistic talent of yours, you'll do well." Minho wasn't wrong, Hyunjin's talent for art was beyond amazing. Hyunjin rushed out as soon as the clock hit seven. "Bye hyung," he waved goodbye.

District 9 Street wasn't that far from his house since he lives in District 7, but he seems to be lost while looking for Seungmin's address. All the houses in this area are mansions, how the heck is he supposed to find the one with the silver gate when every other house here has a silver gate? He was finally going to ring Seungmin when he heard his name.

"Hwang, you're here." Seungmin was right behind him. His house did indeed have a silver gate, but Seungmin forgot to mention that it was a three story mansion with a fountain in the front yard and the double-sided stairs inside.

Hyunjin could already tell Seungmin was rich before just by looking at his clothes, but he didn't expect him to be this rich.

"Follow me," Seungmin told Hyunjin, leading him to his room. "Woah..." was all Hyunjin could say. His room looked like a typical teenage boy's room, with band posters hanging on the wall and a shelf full of books, except his room was huge, with a master's bed and a walking closet.

Hyunjin brought out his art materials, while Seungmin brought out the canvas they were going to use. "So, what should we do? Paint? Sketch?" The blank canvas was intimidating; it was like starting an essay but not knowing where to begin.

"How about we just start drawing and do whatever art style we desire along the way?" Seungmin suggested.

Looking back at the conversation they had in art class, they had nothing in common except... "I wish I could just float like the stars and not think about life," Hyunjin joked.

"I want to travel the world on a ship and leave all my problems here," Seungmin added.

They had nothing in common except a desire to escape all of life's difficulties.

It was silent, but it comfortable silence. They have been drawing for the past hour, but they aren't even halfway done. As time flew by, Hyunjin had to leave. "I'll just come back tomorrow. Bye, Seungmin." Hyunjin was heading out when he was stopped by Seungmin's mother.

"Sweetheart, you didn't tell me you had a friend over. What's your name, young man? Eat dinner with us before you leave."

He couldn't decline, so there he was, sitting at the dinner table with Seungmin and his mother. She was asking him loads of questions, which Hyunjin happily answered. She seemed intimidating at first, but she was actually very fun to talk with. They were all busy eating and chatting to even realize the hard rain that was coming ahead.
