Over time, Hyunjin got hungry and searched his bag for food; happily, he found a bottle of water and the kimbap his mom had made earlier. It was her way of apologizing, but Hyunjin still decided not to talk to her. He was going to eat the food but thought of Seungmin, so he decided to give him the food instead.
"Here," Hyunjin reached out to a lunchbox filled with kimbap and bottled water. Seungmin was lying if he said he wasn't hungry, so he took it without uttering a word. Now that he was eating, he felt guilty since he saw Hyunjin on the other side of the library with nothing to eat. He decided to go beside him again and share the food, it was his after all.
"It's your food; you should have some," Seungmin offered. They ate in silence- not until Hyunjin's phone rang. He immediately answered and was glad to hear Minho's voice.
"I covered for you and took your shift! Where were you?"
He never thought that the sound of Minho nagging him could make him happy.
"We're stuck inside the school library.. there's no time to explain, just help us get out-" The call was cut off due to Hyunjin's phone shutting down. "You think he'll help us?" Seungmin spoke. "I hope so, let's just wait." So they did. The library was becoming colder as time passed, although no air conditioning was on.
Seungmin was clearly freezing, with his lips turning purple and his body trembling. Hyunjin noticed that, so he took off his blazer and put it around Seungmin since he only had a vest on under a thin long-sleeve polo. They fell asleep while waiting, but soon after heard footsteps coming from outside.
"Seung, wake up." He tapped Seungmin, who soon woke up. The door barged open while Minho entered with Jisung. "Hyunjin!" Minho whispered-shouted. "OH MY GOSH, THANK YOU!!!" Hyunjin pulled both Minho and Jisung into a hug. "Now let's get out of here before people think that we've been trespassing," Jisung got out of the library.
"Okay, wait- TRESPASSING?" Now Seungmin was surely awake. "Yeah, we snuck in," Minho answered. "You could've called the school guard or something! I'm going to get in so much trouble!" Seungmin was stressed. He was known for having a clean record in all his past schools, but that streak will soon be broken if he gets accused of trespassing.
"First of all, there is no guard because it's a holiday tomorrow. Second, do you realize what time it is? It's almost four a.m., and third, be grateful we got you out because you guys would be staying here way longer than you think because classes were suspended for three days due to heavy snow." Minho explained all that, and by the time he was done, they had reached his car-technically his parent's car.
"You can drive?" Hyunjin was surprised. "He can, but put on your seatbelts because the road is extra slippery today." Jisung reminded.
Were they riding a car or a roller coaster because this ride was nerve-wracking! The streets were basically ice, but they managed to arrive at Seungmin's house safely.
"It's freezing, oh my! Seungmin, where have you been? It's four a.m., I almost reported you missing to the police!" The nanny was concerned; she has been Seungmin's nanny ever since he was a child, so it was understandable.
"I'm fine, nanny.. I brought friends over, they'll be staying for the night." technically morning since the sun is about to rise in a few hours
"We'll stay here?" Jisung asked. "You can't drive home when it's dark and the streets are slippery, it's just safer to stay here for the night." Seungmin brought them to the guest room. "I'm sure two can fit in the bed, the other can just stay in my room." Minho looked at Hyunjin and then at Jisung. Hyunjin got the signal and decided that they should stay in the guest room.
"It's just us again." Hyunjin spoke, "So, where do I sleep? The floor again?" He asked. "No, you can sleep on the bed; it's bigger than the one in the resort, I'm sure I won't fall this time. Plus, mother installed a heater in the sheets so we won't freeze to death." Seungmin joked.
The four of them took a relaxing, warm bath before going to bed. "Good night, hyung, good night, Jisung." Hyunjin left the guest room and went to Seungmin's. "Good night, Seung," Hyunjin said before turning off the lampshade beside him.
"Seung.. I wonder where he got that?" were Seungmin's last thoughts before he went to dreamland.
Minho was last to wake up but soon got down to see the three chatting while eating hot soup. "Morning guys," he greeted in a raspy voice. "Morning? It's lunchtime, hyung" Jisung showed his phone, which showed the time. "Oh... Anyway, what's everyone talking about?" He took a seat beside Jisung.
"What are we talking about? Oh nothing, we were just talking about HOW YOU DIDN'T TELL ME THAT YOU AND JISUNG WERE TOGETHER ALREADY?!?!" When was Hyunjin not loud?
"Shh, calm down. I was going to tell you soon, but you were busy! I swear I was just looking for the right time." Minho explained.
