"Are you sure this is safe?" Hyunjin asked, concerned since they were about to board a boat as the sun started to set. "Believe me, I've done this numerous times before, you'll see why," Seungmin said, holding Hyunjin's hand so he didn't stumble on the unstable boat.
They stayed close to the coast for safety concerns since it was getting dark. They've been lurking around the waters for a while now, rowing the boat calmly. "There it is!" exclaimed Seungmin, pointing up to see hundreds of stars in the sky. "Woah..." Hyunjin had never seen so many stars in his life; it felt surreal.
"Look, the moon is red." The huge round moon in the sky showed a shade of crimson that caught their eyes. "How could I forget about the lunar eclipse?" Hyunjin remembered that it was bound to happen today.
"It looks like I'm staring at mars or something," mumbled Seungmin, not really knowing much about astronomy.
They returned to the coast, and Hyunjin was happy with the experience. Being on a boat while stargazing and unexpectedly witnessing the lunar eclipse with Seungmin? He couldn't have asked for anything more. It was as if they had explored the entire galaxy; it was fascinating.
11:59...
12:00...
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" They cheered. Explosions of colors filled the sky as fireworks began to appear here and there.
"Toast to another year!" Jisung said, clinking their wine glasses together and sipping champagne. "Let's eat! I'm hungry," Jeongin stated since they planned to wait until 12 o'clock to eat.
The group was celebrating the new year's in Felix's house. They all missed each other since they couldn't hang out during Christmas season due to having their own family trips to attend to. Jeongin and Chan decided to celebrate in Busan with Hyunjin, so he took this chance to introduce them to the group.
"I knew Minho hyung from when I first visited; we would always talk when Hyunjin hyung was busy with his shift," Jeongin explained, telling his story while they were eating.
They happily ate dinner while getting to know the two new people in the group. "Jeongin, not too much," Chan said while stopping the younger from getting drunk.
"It's cold here," Hyunjin followed Seungmin to the balcony. "I like it," he uttered, with the cool breeze of air brushing over his skin. Hyunjin hugged him from behind with his arms wrapped around Seungmin's waist and his chin on Seungmin's shoulder.
"I haven't had you this close since Christmas vacation started," Hyunjin stated, keeping his grip tight on Seungmin's waist.
"Oh wait, speaking of Christmas, let me get something." Hyunjin pulled away from the hug to get something from his bag. "Here, it's not much, but I hope you like it." He handed Seungmin an album. "This is their latest album! How did you know I like this band?" He asked since he couldn't recall talking to Hyunjin about this.
"It's all over your room, dummy, I'm glad you like it." Hyunjin smiled. "You think you're the only one with a gift?" Seungmin pulled out a paper bag and gave it to Hyunjin. It was a plain black hoodie, but damn, the price of that was expensive.
"Channie hyung! Look how sweet they are! Where's my gift, huh?!"Jeongin was slurring his words.
"I literally brought you to Paris this Christmas! Now let's go, you're drunk." Chan had to drag Jeongin away. The two were now left alone, again.
"I love it, Seung," Hyunjin said, pulling Seungmin into a kiss when they got interrupted again by a loud scream coming from Felix.
"CHANGBIN A COCKROACH!"
When Hyunjin was not looking, Seungmin tiptoed and placed a peck on Hyunjin's cheek. Who knew such action could lead to so many butterflies in Hyunjin's stomach?
"The things you make me feel, Kim Seungmin," He looked into the youngers eyes. "The things you make me do, Hwang Hyunjin,"
School break has now ended, and the last semester is now starting. Everyone has been busy with classes, projects, and finishing requirements since the school year is going to end soon.
"Hyunjin, let's study at the library." It has been a habit for both of them to study together at the library. It doesn't only give them quality time, it also helps with their grades since they study together.
"No, Leonardo Da Vinci is from the Renaissance era, not Neoclassical." It mostly benefits Hyunjin, since Seungmin would help him a lot with topics he couldn't understand. In return, Hyunjin would always help Seungmin with art-related works since it was what he was good at.
"Exam is soon; I'm nervous." Hyunjin only looked at the book, as if looking at it would put all the information he needs in his brain.
"That's why you have to start studying. Math isn't that hard, I'll help you understand." Seungmin tried to help. "What's there to understand? Why do I have to prove that it's a circle? Just look at it?" There he was, being dramatic again.
"Good luck! Don't forget everything we studied!" Seungmin tried to cheer Hyunjin up, exam week has been stressful, but after this, it was finally over.
