Ah, finally, the day they present the long-awaited art project that they have been working on for weeks.

Hyunjin sat beside Seungmin holding the canvas. When they thought the teacher would arrive, an unfamiliar face entered the classroom. "I will be your substitute teacher for today, put down your canvas because we won't be needing that today."

Apparently, the original art teacher got sick, so the presentation will be moved to next week. They went on with their day, but the huge canvas was getting inconvenient, especially when they had several classes to attend. The canvas was too big to fit inside the lockers, so Hyunjin had to talk to Seungmin about it.

"I have five more classes, I can't bring this with me anymore." Hyunjin was giving the canvas to Seungmin. "I can't bring that with me; I already have too much in my hands." Seungmin refused to get the canvas. "Is there a place we can put this without bothering other students?"

They were both new to this school, but if they had to think of a place where students don't go a lot, they knew exactly where to go.

"The library!" Both thought of the same thing.

"I wonder why students don't go here; this place is so huge for what?" They placed the canvas behind the very last shelf, for sure no one would see it there.

"Just get it before you go home, don't forget." Seungmin said as they parted ways.

Finally, Hyunjin could go to his classes comfortably.

"Maybe he shouldn't bring it home? We would be presenting it in a week anyway, so why bother bringing it home?'' Seungmin thought, "I'll just tell him later."

Hyunjin was about to exit school, but then "Oh yeah, the canvas." He proceeded to go to the library.

Seungmin, on the other hand, has been in the library for a good 30 minutes now, waiting for Hyunjin. "Hwang, there you are! What took you so long?" Hyunjin entered. "What are you doing here? I thought I was the one bringing it home?"

Seungmin explained why he was there. "You could've just texted me that rather than waiting 30 minutes before I arrived," Hyunjin laughed.

"So, what took you so long anyway? It's past home time, and most people left earlier."

"I had to run for PE as a punishment because I laughed at the PE teacher while he was doing the push-ups." Hyunjin looked away; Seungmin was now the one laughing. Hyunjin couldn't help but look at how pretty Seungmin's smile was. "Enough, enough, let's get out of here before we get locked in." Hyunjin was going to open the door, but then...

"It's locked."

He tried opening it once more, but it was no use. "Stop being silly; they don't close the school this early." Seungmin tried opening the door himself, but the realization hit him. "It's a holiday tomorrow; that's why they left early." Seungmin was left dazed.

"I'm sure your driver will come for you, right? See, nothing to worry about."

"That's the problem; my driver took mother on her business trip to Daegu this morning; I was going to commute today." Well, at least they had their phones, right?

Wrong.

"You can just call someone," Hyunjin suggested. "Why do you think I didn't just call you earlier? Because I didn't have a phone." Now Hyunjin was starting to panic.

"I left it in the car earlier," Seungmin explained. "You have your phone, though?" Right, Hyunjin has a phone! He took it out of his pocket, but then "Are you kidding me, Hwang? Who keeps their phone at 2 percent before they charge it?!"

And as expected, he had no charger with him. They had no choice but to wait for someone to magically find them.

"Won't your mom look for you?" Seungmin asked. They have been sitting in the beanbags for three hours now with nothing to do. "I don't think so, she's used to me going home late by now." The library was surrounded by wood, but Hyunjin looked up and saw a glass window. "Seungmin look!" He pointed at the window.

"Don't be ridiculous, that's too high." The window may or may not be on the library's second floor, but did that stop Hyunjin? No. "I'm sure you don't want to spend two nights here, so we should at least try."

And there Seungmin was, climbing on the ladder they used to get books, except this time he was using it to climb on a tiny window.

"Explain again why it has to be me who's climbing here?" Seungmin started to panic at every step he took as he got higher and higher. "Because you're smaller than me and I'm not sure if I can fit in that window," Hyunjin shouted to make sure Sungmin heard him since Seungmin was already pretty high up.

"I can fit here, but I'm sure I'll die as soon as I hit the ground!" Seungmin finally reached the window, but sadly, the only window was on the second floor, which was apparently too high.

It was no use; it was already dark outside, and there was still no sign of people.

"It's your fault; you should've just brought the stupid canvas with you." Seungmin was now blaming him out of nowhere.

"How is that my fault? I can't just have a canvas with me everywhere." Hyunjin defended himself.

"Whatever," Seungmin walked to the other side of the library, far away from Hyunjin. The other just let him go since he understood that getting stuck in an unwanted place was not the best feeling.
