Mikaelson Mansion

Outside

Luka woke up staring at the sky. He looked for his father and found him next to him.

"Pops? Dad, wake up," Luka said frantically.

Dr. Jonas Martin moaned and opened his eyes. His glasses were gone and the world looked blurry.

"Where are we?" the older man groaned.

"I don't know, but we gotta go," Luka said, getting up and brushing the leaves off himself. "There's a big ass mansion over there. Should we go for help?"

Dr. Martin found his spectacles by touch and put them on. They were cracked on one side, but he said the large structure. There was a gazebo and a garden.

"No, I think we need to leave. We must have been attacked. Son, let's move. Quickly," Dr. Martin hissed. "I don't like this at all."
"You and me both. Come on, old man," Luka said, helping his father up. The last thing he recalled was that they were looking for something. Where the hell were they? His cell phone and wallet were gone.

"Yeah, okay. Give me a second," Dr. Martin said, cracking his back. He touched his jacket for any keys, wallet, or the notebook he always carried. All were gone.

"They cleaned me out, too. Maybe we got mugged?" Luka suggested.

Dr. Martin wished that were the case.

"No way. Someone hit us hard with a spell. Let's get to town and get out of here. I don't know what we were looking for, but nothing is worth our lives," Dr. Martin said, heading for the road.

"Yeah, ain't that the truth," Luka agreed. He looked back at the house and again wondered what the hell had happened.

"There was a little girl here last night, wasn't there?" Dr. Martin said, stopping. "With a scar?"

Luka shook his head and laughed, "Pops, you musta gotten hit harder with that spell than I did. You're talkin' crazy now. Let's roll on out of here before we get zapped again!"

"How'd my boy get so smart?" Dr. Martin said, smiling.

"Apple don't fall from the tree, I guess," Luka chimed in.

Salvatore Boarding House

Pearl and Katherine followed Damon and the teen boys down to the cellar.

"I was not sure she was going to make it. I tried to heal her, but it was too late," Pearl explained, fiddling with the cameo on her neck.

"You're one of them, too. Aren't you? One of those camp vampires?" Tyler accused.

"Yes, young man. I happened to be trapped in a cave many years ago. Actually, on the night this town was officially founded. And you are?" Pearl asked tightly. She did not like this youngster's tone one bit.

"Tyler. Tyler Lockwood," Damon answered. "I bet you remember old Jacob Lockwood. He was the mayor before there was even a damn town. His son was Barnette...and then-."

"George. I remember George Lockwood. He went to war and came back a bit different," Pearl sniffed. The Lockwoods were always lording over the residents of the area, like they owned the place. Pearl surmised that they probably now did own the town.

"Bingo. You win," Damon said. "Katherine remembers George, too, I bet."

"Shut it, Damon," Katherine hissed. "We were supposed to go shopping. But now we have to deal with this."
