Mikaelson Mansion

Damon's Bedroom

Klaus got up when Lucy came in and smoothed back his bed head hair.

"Pardon me, I must have dozed off," Klaus apologized softly. He felt his heart squeeze when he looked down at Damon's sleeping form.

"It's okay," Lucy replied. "I just came to leave some healing cream. It's just some herbs that I spelled. It may help."
"Ah, thank you. Actually, Lucy, I need quite the opposite effect. For my brother Elijah, I will leave out the details, but could you make a potion that would disrupt his healing for a time?" Klaus asked, keeping his voice low.

"Ah sure," the attractive African American witch said, looking around the grand room. She had been in here on the night that Damon was causing earthquakes and thunder storms, it looked so much larger now.

"There is a large herbal store in Greta's old secret closet," Klaus went on. "She sealed it with magic, but I know you can open it. Also, there are some grimoires in there. I thought maybe there would be something in it about our new little progeny, Ava."

"Oh yes, actually, I have an idea about that," Lucy said, whispering. "Shall we see if she can really absorb magic?"
Klaus smiled and got up from the bed.

"That is brilliant. If she can open the closet, then we could see if she was able to breach the wards around this house," Klaus said. "I would sleep easier knowing how she got in."

"Let us see then what this child can do," Lucy responded graciously.

"The closet is in Wes' room now," Klaus said. "I am just going to see to Damon and then I'll be done. And Lucy, do you fancy shoes? You look about the same size as Greta. She had quite the expensive wardrobe. You may have anything you like."
"Rebekah doesn't want it?" Lucy asked, thinking of the beautiful vampire. She seemed like she loved clothes and jewelry.

"Oh, she does, but we don't think it's an appropriate wardrobe for school. But for you, Mystic Falls does have a bevy of events year around. You could actually wear the clothes and jewelry. If that doesn't work for you, my brother will write you a check," Klaus said, opening the jar of salve and smelling it.

"Oh, I can't take payment for my magic," Lucy gushed. "Even gifts are iffy. Taking them may anger our ancestors."

Klaus nodded, but then remembered something.

"In New Orleans, the witches there have a Fête de Cadeau, it is a festival where the witches receive gifts from all the factions. The history of the event is a big sordid, but it allows us to honor the witch faction for keeping balance of nature. Can we not honor you the same?" Klaus wondered.

"Perhaps," Lucy said, walking to the door. "I know our mothers and grandmothers accepted the occasional chicken or pig when appropriate as a gift. I have no need of that, but as I am between jobs..."
Klaus smiled, "Yes. You would not need to work for sometime if you figured out a way to sell Greta's items. She had expensive tastes. I have the credit card bills to prove it."

"I'll get Ava and get started. Wes' room, you said?" Greta prompted.

"Aye, across from the kitchen," Klaus said, eager to check Damon's injuries.

Greta left and shut the door. Klaus peeled back the covers and saw that his blood had mostly healed Damon, yet some bruises and marks remained.

"Damn you, Elijah," Klaus cursed. He smoothed on the cream, waking Damon.
