Pairing: Klaus (Elijah)/Rebekah (M/F) magic hairbrush, hand

Mystic Falls, Virginia

March 23, 2012

Same Day

Elijah had shouted for Rebekah and then called Klaus on the mobile. He had his brother bring the SUV around.

Kol wrinkled up his nose as Elijah ushered the children into the car gently.

"I had to compel them," Elijah explained. "They are terrified. Did you bring the food and water?"
Sage gasped, "Oh my, they are so thin. Hi guys, I'm Sage. This is Finn, Klaus, Kol, and Damon. We're going to help you."

Sage opened the water bottles and gave one to each child. They took them and took gulps of the water.

"We got them hot pretzels from the food court," Damon explained, handing the kids half of a large pretzel. "But I think they should take it slow. Maybe we should get them to a hospital?"

Elijah said, "Isn't there anyone you can call? A doctor who can come to the house?"
"They don't really do that anymore, but I know a girl. I'll call her to meet us at the house," Damon said. "And we should probably call Sheriff Forbes. She'll know what to do."

"Good, Son," Klaus said, driving just above the speed limit. "They are young. Surely, some one is looking for them."

The children hungrily ate the food and drank the water. Elijah had wrapped them in a blanket he found in the back of the SUV.

Mikaelson Mansion

Elijah and Sage carefully ushered the frightened children out of the car. The boy seemed weak and Finn gently scooped him up.

Dr. Meredith Fell was waiting with her medical bag.

Damon greeted her, "Thanks for coming so fast, Doc. I owe you one."

"You can say that again, Salvatore. If kids weren't involved, I would have told you to go shove it," Meredith said, tucking back a strand of her brown hair.

Damon introduced her to the Mikaelsons and Sage.

"There's a living room here," Elijah directed. Finn put the boy down on the couch and the little girl beside him. The children were trembling.

"You have nothing to fear. You are safe now," Finn said in a soft voice.

"I'll get them more water," Sage said.

Rebakah went in towards the living room, but Klaus lightly grabbed her arm. "You go straight to your room, young lady."
Rebekah frowned, "But I want to help!"

Klaus hissed, "Don't make me tell you again. Now, march."

Rebekah stomped, "Did you even get my clothes?"

"Forget about your bloody clothes," Klaus said. He watched Rebekah stomp up the stairs.

Sage paused, "I'll call the store and have them send everything over. I'm afraid the credit card is there also."
"Thank you, Sage," Klaus said. "You've been a great help. I'm sorry for Rebekah's behavior...and mine, toward you, so long ago."
Sage nodded and went to get the water.

Dr. Fell smiled at the two children.

"They look to be about five years old. Hi, I'm Meredith. I'm a doctor and I'm going to check you out. See this, it's a stethoscope. What are your names?" Meredith began, kneeling in front of the children.

The girl started, "Indy. This is my bruther, Julian. Are we in a hospital?"

Meredith smiled, "Hi Indy and Julian. No, this is a house. Just a real big house. Now, can you open your mouth and say, 'Ahhhh'? Good. Now, you, Julian."
