Mikaelson Mansion

"Dorian, I need to find that charter," Elijah spat. "It is my only chance of gaining control over the Strix."
Dorian signed, "Sir, it's impossible. The vault is heavily guarded. I've actually only seen it once that I remember."

Elijah slammed his hand on his desk.

"No, I cannot let Tristan de Martel win this. If I go to this ball, he has the upper hand. He's planning something, I know it," Elijah fumed.

Dorian thought, "What if you had a witch do a locator spell?"
"Lucy, Bonnie, and even Damon are at the lake house. I need this information yesterday," Elijah scoffed.

"But Ava is here," Dorian said. He had seen the little Traveller girl running through the mansion with the other kids. "She has the power."
"Ava? She's a child," Elijah reported.

"Yes, but she is powerful. If we led her thought it, she can find it on the map," Dorian stated.

"I don't think Niklaus would allow it. We'd have to remove her bracelet and...," Elijah said, drifting off.

"Well, I don't see another way. Maybe if you clued him in on all this," Dorian suggested.

Elijah signed, "Fine. I suppose there is no other option, but I'll have to tell him everything."

"Then, tell him," Dorian said firmly, raising his brown eyes to the Original vampire.

"You are correct, Dorian. Can you give me a moment here? This may get ugly," Elijah admitted.

"Ah, sure. I'll just go get a drink," Dorian said, scampering off to the kitchen. "Wait, I still have one contact at the Armory whom I trust. I hate to put her in danger though. I'll reach out and see if she can figure out another way, but if not, we'll need Ava."

"And I will find my little brother," Elijah said, taking off to find Klaus.

Outside

"Aaron, please, be careful," Finn warned. Aaron was hammering a nail into a board wildly.

"I'm fine," Aaron said confidently, but Finn's fast reflexes grabbed the hammer before he could slam it into his thumb.

"Aaron! You need to listen to me," Finn roared, taking the hammer.

"What? I was doing fine! I'm not a baby," Aaron snapped, looking at the other workman to see if they were listening.

"You are behaving like one. Now, go in the house and get started on your homework like Sage asked you to an hour ago. I'll be in soon," Finn suggested.

"But I'm good out here!" Aaron argued.

Finn leaned down and warned, "That tis one whack with the paddle. Keep it up and you shall be nursing a sore behind."
"This is bullshit," Aaron yelled, kicking a bag of concrete on his way into the house.

Klaus broke off his conversation with the contractor. He was asking him about building a painting studio.

"Excuse me," Klaus said smoothly. He walked over and put an arm around Finn. "Trouble with the boy?"

Finn frowned, "He just does not seem to listen well, Niklaus. Nor does he have any talent for work. I am trying not to argue with him as you suggested, but he can be impossible!"
