Mikaelson Mansion

After Dinner

"And what are you two doing playing in the hallway?" Elijah scolded, after picking up the largest pieces of the remnants of the broken mirror. A ball was discarded off to the side, painting a clear picture of what had happened.

In perfect symmetry, the twins pointed at each other saying, "It was her fault!" "It was Julian's idea!"

Elijah frowned, "You could have been hurt by the glass. That was a very old mirror. I don't understand why you were even up here!"

Indy's lip trembled at the scolding and tears started to roll down her cheeks.

Elijah sighed and picked up the crying child.
"We got bored watching tv and wanted the ball," Indy confessed. "S-Sorry, we didn't mean to break the mirror. The ball just hit it by itself... It was a-an a-accident...Are you g-gonna send us b-back?"

Elijah hugged her closer and walked a little closer to Julian.

"No! Of course not," Elijah said, crouching to put her on her feet. "But I think you ought to go to time out and think about how you disobeyed me. Now, I was both of your noses in the corner. Separate ones."

Indy sniffed as Elijah placed her in the corner of the long hallway. His heart was saddened to hear her cry, but he needed to clean up the rest of the glass and remove the mirror. Elijah was relieved they hadn't gotten cut.

"Julian, what do you have to say for yourself, young man," Elijah reprimanded lightly.

Julian scowled and backed away, his brown face crumpled up in anger.

"I tole you. It was Indy who tole me to throwed it," Julian yelled.

"Well, at any rate, you are in time out. I need to vacuum up the rest of the glass and I want to keep an eye on you," Elijah said, going to grab his arm gently.

"No!" Julian shrieked, suddenly sinking his teeth into Elijah's hand.

"Oh," Elijah gasped in shock. The Original vampire had bitten thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of humans, but this was the first time he himself had been bitten.

"Don't touch me!" Julian wailed, backing away.
"I need you to go into the corner unless you want a spanking," Elijah warned, Julian's teeth had broken his skin. But Elijah watched as it healed instantly.

Sage came out into the hallway, saying, "Oh my, I was just in the restroom. I thought I heard a crash."
Julian ran to her and she looked at Elijah.

Elijah explained, "He just bit me."

"Oh," Sage said, leaning down to Julian's level. "Julian, we don't bite here. What do you say?"

Julian stomped and tried to pull away from her, but Elijah caught him.

"You need to settle down," Elijah said, as Julian kicked at his feet. "That's it!"

Elijah turned the struggling six year old and popped his bottom over his pants.

Smack.
"I hate you!" Julian thrashed, trying to escape.

Smack! Smack! Smack!

Elijah swatted him a few more times, not hard, but enough to cause a sting on his chubby rump.
