Ayame's POV

It has been five months since we came to cross academy. The new dorm is already finished and it looks absolutely amazing, the inside is very nice and quite classy. I've been working smoothly during the night classes and everyone has adapted nicely, especially Hanabusa.

It was almost time for the gates to open so we could go to our night class and we were all waiting outside. Hanabusa and I aren't exactly the best of friends and not really friends either...anymore...it's becoming more of an enemy relationship which hurts my heart. A lot.

I looked over to Hanabusa who was talking happily to Akatski and Takuma. Takuma Ichijo was super nice, he was always so sweet to everyone. He had blonde hair but it was lighter than Hanabusa's and he had green eyes, Takuma was also eighteen making him one of the oldest.

I turned to Kaname who was staring at the floor. "Hey, you okay?"

Kaname looked up and smiled. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for asking, how about you?"

I nodded, even though it wasn't exactly the truth. Suddenly, the doors screeched open and there were rows of girls standing at either side of the gate opening. Once they saw us they screamed in delight, well, when they saw the boys. There were hardly any boys in the day class which I found quite unusual. As we walked out of the gates Hanabusa decided to be extra flirty today. "Hi!!" He cooed making girls of the day class swoon. I rolled my eyes and gave him a small shove. Hanabusa grinned. "Oh, is someone jealous?"

I looked at him and scoffed. "And why exactly would I be jealous of them?"

Hanabusa shrugged and turned back to being flirtatious with the day class girls again. He stopped and pointed his finger at one of the girls as if it were a gun. "Bang!" He said dramatically, it was almost like a whisper.

Once again I rolled my eyes and carried on walking. "I wanna be shot too!" I heard a girl scream.

All of a sudden, Hanabusa was surrounded by excited girls and he began doing his dramatic gun thing over and over, although it sounded less dramatic and more like he was struggling. I grinned and laughed to myself for a short while, then I  ran over to help. We may not be friends anymore but I would still help him. I searched for his arm and grabbed it, then I yanked him out of the crowd of girls. However, I may of yanked to hard as he stumbled and bumped right into making us both fall to the ground.

Hanabusa stared down at me in shock but then he grinned. "I told you,"

My shocked expression changed into a confused one. "Told me what?"

"You are jealous."

I narrowed my eyes and pushed him off, he was heavy but I wouldn't look like a fool because of him. I then jumped to my feet and looked down to see him scrambling off the ground. "You wish," with that, I flicked my long, dark brown hair and walked away, leaving Hanabusa behind.

                        *         *         *         *         *         *         *

I stood near Kaname during classes as I had no other real friends. Today we were learning about human history and the wars they had between each other. I sighed, it was very audible. "Lady Ayame, is something the matter?"

I looked up at the teacher who was raising an eyebrow. "Uh, no nothing."

"It's clearly something," Aido called out suddenly. "You wouldn't be sighing if something wasn't wrong."

I turned my attention to him and glared at him. "Nothings wrong, I-"

Aido cut me off by talking over me. "You're hungry for blood, aren't you?"

"No, I just-"

"Bored?"

"Not exactly, I'm just-"

"I know. You're missing someone."

I thought about Kimi. It broke my heart and I wanted to just break down and cry, I missed her and she was with Rido somewhere. Not only did I want for cry for myself but I wanted to cry for Kaname, he has been suffering so much, I couldn't bear it. I had to get away, from everyone, I broke into a run out of the room and as soon as I exited I felt tears flow down my cheeks and down my neck. Into my hair and staining my clothes. Even so, I kept on running until I got outside and sat by a nearby tree.

Kaname's POV

Ayame stared at Aido with wide eyes for a few moments before running out of the classroom. I turned to Aido and stared at him coldly. "Why did you do that?" I gave him a hard look.

Aido looked down and I could see he was feeling guilty and nervous at the same time. "I didn't mean to hurt her feelings, Lord Kaname..."
What do you mean you didn't want to hurt her feelings? Obviously you did because you kept on going. I thought about saying this but I remained calm. "But you did."

I placed my book on the window sill facing down so I wouldn't loose my page and walked out of the room after Ayame, however Ruka grabbed my hand firmly causing me to turn and stop. "Lord Kaname," she said blushing. "May I accompany you?"

Ruka was kind to me and very caring but this conversation was only to be between Ayame and myself.

"I'm sorry, Ruka, but I must go alone." I gently wiggled my hand out of hers and walked down the hallway.

"How come you didn't stop him, sir?" I heard someone say before I disappeared further down, their voices becoming more and more distant the further I got.
