"No!" Hanabusa cried.
The purple bullet flew between my sister and I, barley missing us. I stared at Skye as the bullet flew past, she looked terrified. Hanabusa ran in front of us, arms outstretched protectivly. "I won't let you hurt her - I mean them."
The boys glared at each other, Zero still had the gun pointed at us...at Hanabusa.
"Zero!" The sound of hurrying footsteps became louder as the distant figure drew closer. It was Yuki.
Zero turned to face the panting Yuki. "Yuki..."
"Zero what were you thinking?!"
"I wasn't..." With that Zero walked away towards the school.
"Ayame-sama, I'm so sorry. Are you alright?"
I nodded. "Yes I'm fine."
Hanabusa turned to face me and smiled which made me smile back. "Yuki, is the headmaster able to asign a new student?" Kaname asked.
"Y-yes. Is there someone hoping to apply for this school?"
"Yes. You see, Ayame has a sister who would like to attend the school."
"Okay, would you like to follow me...um..."
"Skye. My name is Skye."
"Okay Skye, please follow me." Yuki lead Skye toward the school, disappearing into the large building together.
Hanabusa turned to face me. "I'm glad you're okay. If that Zero hurt you, I would make sure he'd regret it."
"Thanks." I grinned then pulling him in for a hug.
"Look! It's Kaname-sama and Aido-senpai!"
We all turned to see three day class girls run over. They literally jumped up at the two boys, bombarding them with questions and compliments. Kimi and I stood there awkwardly unnoticed.
"I apologise girls but we need to get back to class." Kaname smiled politely.
As we made our way back to the school I heard them talking amongst each other. "Why was Aido-Senpai hugging Ayame-Sama earlier?"
"Do you think he likes her?" The other girl replied with a worried tone.
"I hope not!" When she said this, I felt a slight hint of jealousy even though there was no need.Once we were back in the large school building, Skye was already in the same white night class uniform as all the other night class females. She was standing next to Yuki, clearly taller than her; Skye grinned. "Ayame! The headmaster suggested we shared a room. Do you think you could show me where it is?"
"But I already sho-" Yuki began, she seemed confused.
"Please!" She whined.
It was abnormal for Skye to act this way. Her current behaviour indicated she had to tell me something important privately. "Okay." I shrugged.
We exited the school and made our way to the moon dorm. Our shoes made clicking sounds on the ground bellow which added to the sound of rustling trees. "Ayame, she's coming." Skye suddenly broke the silence. She sounded serious.
"You mean..." I knew who she meant but I wanted to make sure.
"Yes."
"But why?" I was unsure why she was coming to Cross Academy. Why would she want to?
"I don't know, but she wants something..." Skye trailed off leaving us in uncomplete silence once again. "So, this Hanabusa guy, why so protective? Doesn't he know we're purebloods?"
I giggled. "Yes but you know that gun could have killed one of us."
"Yeah I know." She paused. "Does he like you? As in love you?"
We were nearing the entrance to the moon dorm building. "Yes."
"That's unfortunate. I think he's cute but he has no intrest in me."
I felt my cheeks warm up thinking about that moment that occured between us this morning.
We reached the large, wooden double doors and pushed one open causing it to creek. "Oh!"
Standing there smiling cheerfully was Takuma Ichijo holding a notebook and standing halfway down the marvelous staircase on the left. "Takuma-san! What are you doing here?"
"It seemed I had forgotten my notebook so I rushed back to get it," He looked over to Skye. "Who's this?" "This is my sister, Skye. She will be attending Cross Academy from now on."
"Hi." Skye gave him a shy smile.
"Hello, I'm Takuma the vice dorm president. I hope you will enjoy attending this academy and if you feel uncomfortable then I'll be there for you." He walked down the rest of the stairs and bowed before leaving the dorms.
Once he left, Skye and I made our wY up the stairs and down the long hallway. "He seems nice." Skye smiled.
"He is."
"Back to this Hanabusa guy. Wasn't he the one you always visited when we were kids?"
I nodded. "Yeah..."
"You had a serious crush on him."
"Have..." I corrected although I was meant to say it mentally. "Did I just say that out loud?"
Skye burst out laughing. "Does he know?"
"Yes..." My cheeks were heating up again.
"What did he say? Are you guys dating now?"
"I'll tell you later, okay?" I sighed as we approached the door to my dorm room.
"Okay."
I unlocked the door and opened it revealing my rather large bedroom. I turned on the lights which suddenly brightened up the place making colours more visible.
Skye wandered aimlessly around sweeping her hand across surfaces such as the dark oak tables and dressers. She finally came across my large bed and fell back onto it causing her body to bounce once or twice before resting still. "Ah...this is so comforting...goodnight Aya..." Skye sighed as she closed her eyes.
"Eh? Where am I going to sleep!"
"On the floor." She lifted her arm up and flopped her weak hand.
"Ugh, fine." I grunted.
I walked over and stood at the end of my bed, I then gripped the soft, white blanket and yanked it towards me with all my might. "Agh!" Sky e yellped as she rolled violently across the matress the crashing into the headboard. "Ow!" She sat up and glared at me whilst rubbing the back of her head. "What happened to sisterly love?"
"Hey, that is my blanket." I said, opening a drawer. "Here."
I tossed a soft, electric blue throw at her and she caught it. "Why couldn't you've used this?" She asked, holding up the throw.
"Because that's my blanket!" I retaliated whilst gripping the duvet tightly.
"Fine, fine."
I placed a pillow on the hard wooden floor beside my bed and lay on part of my douvet, folding it over my body.
"Night Aya-chan..."
"Goodnight Skye-chan." I whispered as I reached over to softly glowing lamp and turned it off.A\N
