I put my hand on my head, even though there was no pain. Surprisingly the things I had experienced earlier had vanished and left no trace of ever being there, I felt normal once again. "Ren are you okay? Can you see me?" Rima's tone sounded quite concerned yet her facial expression did not show it.

I simply nodded and forced a weak smile. "Yeah, I'm alright."

She quickly glanced behind me before making eye contact once again. "I think we need to get you to your dorm room, you look kinda pale."

I nodded again as I wasn't bothered to force any words out. I was still, kind of, weak and did not have a lot of energy. I turned my head to see Kimi still in Kaname's arms, she hadn't moved. It upset me to see she wasn't bothered to even ask if I was okay, she seemed careless about everyone now she was with Kaname. Kimi saw me looking and immediately looked away, it was if her heart that was once warm had turned cold...especially to me. "Ren, c'mon."

I quickly turned my head to see Senri holding his hand out for me like earlier today; I took it. Senri pulled me up and began walking along side Rima and I walked behind them. "Ren..." I heard Kimi whisper.

I didn't dare look back, though. I just wanted to rest.

Kimi's POV

Ren fell to the ground and I felt as if my heart had skipped a beat. I moved forward to help but Kaname had his arms on my waist, still. "Kaname, let go!" I said frustrated.

I struggled to break free and eventually gave up. Kaname didn't understand, I had to help Ren...she helped me escape and she was my only friend when I was in that wretched castle. Yet he wouldn't let me help her, he gripped my waist tightly and didn't move a muscle. I saw the boy help her to sit upright, then put his arm around her to support her; the girl took out a small, thin box from her pocket and opened it. Inside there was many white tablets. The girl took one and popped it into Ren's mouth, instructing her to swallow. I felt so helpless. I turned my head to see Kaname's blank expression and looked away quickly before he could see me.

The boy was now in front of Ren and pulled her up, they began walking with the girl...away from me. "Ren..." I whispered.

I turned to Kaname once they were out of sight, he has now released me from his grip and was looking down at me with a soft expression, however he was not smiling. "I apologise, Kimi, but I didn't want you to interfere."

I raised my eyebrows, I was confused. "Interfere? I wanted to help! I am very capable of helping!"

"Kimi, listen," he put his hands on my shoulders. "Ren is going to turn into a level E and giving her these tablets can slow the process. I can tell how important she is to you so I didn't want you to do anything or she would suffer more."

There was a short pause. "What are those tablets, Kaname?"

"They are blood tablets, why do you ask?"

"So, is it like giving blood to her...but through tablets?"

He gave a small smile and nodded. "Yes."

"Giving her my blood will slow the process too, right?"

His smile immediately washed away and he looked very concerned. "Kimi, did you give Ren your blood?"

"Is that...bad?"

Kaname didn't respond, he only stared. Then he pulled me close to his chest and whispered in my ear. "Never give her your blood again...for your sake and hers."

His finale words to me rang in my head over and over. For my sake? What does he mean? Ren would never drain me dry...she can't, I wouldn't let her. But for her sake? I thought blood would help her not kill her. Even so I nodded in agreement, my nose brushing against his shoulder as I did so. Kaname pulled away, his hands still resting on my shoulders. He smiled. "Good."

I forced a smile and decided to change the subject. "Er, Kaname. I'm kinda tired...we literally ran the whole night and I need to sleep. Do you know any spare dorm rooms?" Even though this was to change the subject, it was the truth.

"There's no need to find you a spare room, Kimi, you can sleep in my bed."

I was slightly taken aback. I loved him more than a brother but we have been away from each other so long it felt unusual to hear him saying that. "O-okay" I felt my cheeks heat up a bit. I was thankful to be back with Kaname and Ayame, I felt safe once again.

Kaname smirked and put his hand on my cheek, stroking it with his thumb. "There's no need to blush, we've always slept in the same bed so why stop now?"

"Kaname!" I could feel my cheeks heat up even more but at the same time I felt warm inside. I felt happy.

"Follow me, I thought you were tired." He said, already walking.

I smiled and jogged to catch up with him. "Hey I still have some energy left. I'll race you!"

"You don't know where my room is."

I giggled."I'm gonna guess though...is it the last one?"

Kaname began running so I assumed I was correct. I was so happy to be back with people who will keep me safe from Rido. I finally escaped...I was finally free.

Kaname opened his door and I stepped inside the room, it was quite big. I spotted his bed and fell back onto it, it was very comfortable and soft. "Okay, night." I said, rolling over onto my side, facing away from Kaname.

I began to shut my eyes and fell into a light sleep until I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. I could feel his warm and steady breaths on the back of my neck. "Kaname..." I whispered, my eyes still closed.

"I'm tired, too." Kaname whispered, too.

"From what?"

"From being away from you..." He pulled me closer to him and I eventually fell asleep.
