The next day, Hanabusa acted as if nothing ever happened. When it was time for the switch over he was as flirtatious as every other day. However I was still confused, I was still wondering what he wanted to say the other night.
We were in class but I was starting out the window, it was all too boring. I saw Yuki fly past which startled me but I guess she was just on duty. I finally got bored from looking out the window and turn my head to the direction Hanabusa sat, he wasn't there, neither was Akatski. I lightly nudged Kaname's arm with my elbow, he turned away from his book and faced me. "Yes?"
"Aido and Kain aren't here."
Kaname looked over to where the two normally sat before turning to me once again. "Hm...you need to follow me, I think know where they are."
We walked out of the class and outside, to the side of the school. There we saw Hanabusa and Akatski with Yuki. There was a sudden gun shot which startled all of us, it was Zero. Zero had purposely missed Hanabusa who was about to drink from Yuki's neck which was against the rules. "Zero," Kaname began. "Please could you put that away. You see, it's very harmful towards us vampires." Zero put the gun away, clearly irritated. "I will take Hanabusa to the headmaster to receive his punishment," Kaname then turned to Akatski. "Akatski, as you didn't do anything to stop Hanabusa you will be punished too."
Akatski groaned and put his hand on his head. Serves you right I thought. "Yuki are you okay?" I asked, since no one else did. Yuki was the victim of the 'attack' so someone should show some concern.
Yuki nodded in response before being dragged away by Zero. I could hear her protesting as he dragged her further away. "Ayame, could you erase these girl's memories of tonight please?" Kaname suddenly asked.
I looked over to where Yuki and Zero were once standing to see two unconscious day class girls. I walked over to them and knelt down, placing my hand on their heads. Then, focusing on erasing their memories. I saw the violet glow around my hands as I was doing so. "I will take the two to the headmaster, when you're finished you should go back to class. Also, could you take them to their dorm rooms?" Kaname asked.
I looked at the two girls faces, I couldn't possibly take them both back to their dorm rooms on my own. "Kaname, could someone come with me? I can't lift them both on my own." As I said this, I was still concentrating on taking their memories away, I knew it was almost time to stop.
Kaname didn't reply straight away leaving only the sounds of the night to be audible. "I'll help her,"
I took my hands away from the girls heads and turned to see who spoke, it was Hanabusa. "I'm not sure about that, Aido." Kaname said.
"It's alright, he can help as long as he doesn't cause trouble." I felt my cheeks heat up slightly, I wish I would stop blushing but it was something that couldn't be helped.
Hanabusa grinned and walked over, picking up one of the girls bridal style. I, however, didn't do the same. I picked the other girl up and put her on my back, giving her a piggyback. "You will receive your punishment later, Aido." Kaname said from behind.
"Yes dorm president Kuran." Hanabusa sighed.
We were halfway to the sun dorms. "Hey, check for an ID card. We need to find their dorm rooms." I whispered, searching the pockets.
I found one and pulled it out. "Sakura Hatori. Dorm room 12."
"Yoshi Hashimoto. Dorm Room 12, too." There was a short pause. "Miss Hashimoto is pretty," Hanabusa said, twisting a piece of her hair around his finger. "I wonder how her blood tastes..."
He began to lean in, I panicked. Hanabusa was millimetres away from Yoshi's neck but stopped. "Hanabusa, don't."
He bring his head back up and roll his eyes. "I wasn't going to, stop being so stuck up."
I frowned. "I'm not being stuck up, I just don't want you to get into any more trouble."
Hanabusa smirked. "Oh, you really care about me that much, huh? That's sweet but it does make you look like you love me."
"I don't love you! Stop saying that! In fact I don't even like you, I hate you!" I snapped. I had enough of his attitude, enough of him saying I was jealous. But the reality was it was all true. I was jealous, I did love him...I always have and here I was, driving him away.
My face softened after I realized what I just said. I studied Hanabusa's face. He looked sad, hurt and somewhat angry. "I was only joking..." He didn't even look at me. Hanabusa began to walk faster so he was further ahead, although not that far.
After we placed the girls in their beds, Hanabusa ran back to the school leaving me behind and on my own. I tried running after him but he was faster and I didn't have the energy to run. Even from afar, I saw him enter the school. The night was so clear.
I got back to class, Kaname was there already. Akatski was there too, as was Hanabusa. I stood next to Kaname and looked over at Hanabusa who was looking away from me, I hated myself. "Is everything alright, Aya? You seem sad." I looked up to see Kaname's concerned face.
I nodded. "Yes."
He gave a soft smile and went back to his book. I turned my attention back to the teacher who was talking about the world and the different countries and continents. I began to think. No vampire in this school isn't thirsty for blood because, you see, the night is ruled by vampires.
