We arrived at the Aido household later that day. Juri and Hiruka began to chat with who I assumed to be the owner of the household. Kaname, Kimi and I stood quietly beside them. Then Kaname leaned towards my ear. "Aya, I sense a child." He whispers and walks away.

"Kaname, wait!" I hiss but he has already made his way around the corner. Without thought, I walk quickly to catch up with him as I didn't want to be left behind. Kimi clearly notices and follows closely behind me. I can sense her reaching for my hand so I bring it behind me so she could take it.

"Where are we going, Ayame-san?" She looked up. Her large, innocent eyes looking up at me, full of curiosity.

I sighed." Honestly, I don't know. I'm just following Kaname-" Right as I said his name, I saw him stepping into a room. I immediately followed and stood at the doorway, Kimi still gripping my hand.

"I apologise, I sensed a child." I heard Kaname say.

Then I heard footsteps behind us. It was Juri, Hiruka and the home owner.

"I apologise for our Hanabusa's behaviour." The boy Kaname was talking to earlier retaliated but his father ignored him. As I studied the boys face, I noticed an immediate attraction. His icy blue eyes must have caught me staring and they narrowed then before turning away. Suddenly, a woman who must be his tutor began to lecture him about purebloods and it was quite amusing.

Later that night, the three of us walked outside as Kaname felt like he should apologise to Hanabusa for how he acted, although I knew he had nothing to apologise for, I remained silent. Once we got outside Kaname began his apology to Hanabusa. I noticed two other kids playing in the sand box. I studied them, a boy and a girl. The boy had ginger hair and dark eyes and the girl had light fair hair and hazel eyes. Once I returned my attention back to the apologetic Kaname, I heard Hanabusa say four words that slightly angered me inside. "You don't need to apologise. I just hate you." Hanabusa just turned and walked away into the courtyard, leaving Kaname standing there alone. Then, without thinking twice, I ran after Hanabusa.

Once I was close enough I shouted his name. He was sitting on the rim of the fountain, playing with the water, His eyes were sad. Hanabusa looked up and then looked back down. I stood in front of him and my voice was full of concern. "Hanabusa, what's wrong?" He glared at me, I felt chills down my spine. Then, his expression softened for a second before returning to anger; he stood up.

"Kaname. That's what's wrong." The anger that had left before and was taken over by concern, had returned.

"What did Kaname do?" My fists clenched, I held back from lunging at him.

"Nothing, I just don't like him." He turned his head up and closed his eyes in a snooty way. Like before, my anger melted away and the angry expression that was once plastered on my face disappeared and changed to an amused smile. His reaction was childish and cute, I couldn't help but laugh. The boy opened an eye and stared at me, as if it was a wrong reaction to his. I couldn't respond. My laughter grew stronger as I clutched my stomach, my eyes filled with water. I managed to open my eyes and caught a glimpse of a smile as he began to laugh with me.

After a while, our laughter died down. And we sat together on the rim of the fountain, panting and wiping out eyes. After we calmed down, we just talked. We talked about our interests, our families, our hobbies, our likes and dislikes. I felt, as we talked, my attraction to him grow stronger. I knew we were going to be great friends and, I hoped in future, more than that.

As the evening went on we kept on talking until Kaname finally found us and told me it was time to leave. As I stood up to follow Kaname back, Hanabusa grabbed my wrist making my heart skip a beat. "Ayame, will we see each other again?" I hint of worry was noticeable in his voice.

I simply smiled and nodded. "Definitely," I began to run after Kaname but added. "And call me Aya." Before leaving him alone at the fountain.
