Just as Zero told me; the next day I stealthily strode to the school stables. However, no one was outside. Shrugging, I slowly walked inside but, surprisingly, I found a stunning grey horse. I approached her with small steps, then I placed a gentle hand stroking her muzzle. The horse nuzzled my hand happily. "Hey," A sudden voice said plainly from behind.

I quickly glanced over my shoulder to see the platinum, grey hair that belonged to Zero. "Oh, Hi."

I could sense him by my side. "She seems to have taken a liking to you...that's unusual."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You're special."

I felt a weird sensation as my cheeks began to heat up. "Shall we begin?" I said quickly. I felt somewhat nervous as I stroked'Lily' as it read on the sighn.

"Sure, but you're gonna have to quit stroking Lily."

Nodding in agreement, I followed Zero to the nearby corner which had a pile of hay occupying the space. We both sat down and my first lesson began. "Okay, where do we start?" I asked. My legs were crossed and my hands rested upon my knees.

"First of all, you need to know what these are." Zero shoved his hand into his pocket then pulled out the same mysterious box that Rima had.

He opened the box which contained a handful of white tablets. We sat in silence for some unusual reason; I decided to break it.

"Uh...so what are they?"

Zero rolled his eyes as if I said something extremely stupid. "What do they look like?"

"Tablets. But what are they?"

He stared at them and shrugged. "They kinda help you to control your lust for blood."

I simply stared at the small white tablets that scattered in the black, patterned, box. If they seemed to help Zero then I'm sure it will help me.

"So," Zero began. I looked up from the tablets and looked at his mesmerizing, purple, eyes. "How are you so good with horses?"

I narrowed my eyes in confusion. "What, is the 'lesson' over then?"

Ignoring me, he repeated himself. "How are you so good with horses?"

I rolled my eyes. "I just am."

In a way, it was true but, I had a lot of training back when I was a servant for Rido. He had a stable and I cared for the horses. My favourite was this grey mere named Crystal. I remember her fabulous, soft, mane. I remember her well groomed coat and clean hooves. I remember her gracefully trotting around the field.

I sighed at the memory, the stables were my getaway, the only thing that made me happy...and now it's gone. However, it's a good thing to be away from Rido. I loved that horse with so much passion that I felt a lump form in my throat knowing I would never see her again, she was my only friend and I don't care how sad it sounds. Zero must have noticed my sadness as he decided to share his concern. "Ren, are you alright?"

I looked up at his amazing purple eyes once again; they were full of concern. Curling my lips in, I nodded. I knew if I tried to speak I'd probably end up in tears and I don't want anyone to see me cry.

"Seriously, Ren. You look like you're gonna cry."

My vision began to blur and I felt a few hot tears escape my eyes and roll down my cheeks, dampening my uniform. Realisation hit me and I immediately turned away from Zero, my dark hair fell over my shoulder shielding my wet face and red eyes. Through the blur of tears in my eyes I saw them drip slowly off my cheeks and onto the golden hay below, I also heard a small pat as they made contact with various strands of the hay. For some peculiar reason, Lily began whining. I looked up, sniffing the snot that seemed to be oozing from my nose. Lily was just whining, there seemed to be no cause whatsoever. She was facing the entrance to the stable which meant she may be irritated by someone or possibly something.

I had an urge to turn ,so, I quickly used the pearly, white, patterned, sleeve to wipe away the free rolling tears and running snot. When I turned, I saw Yuki peering from the right side of the entrance. She seemed startled at first. "Zero, can you calm her down?"

Sighing, Zero grunted as he stood up and walked lazily on the golden hay, then stopped at Lily. He began to stroke her muzzle gently and hushed her, eventually calming her down. "There."

"Okay. Zero, why aren't you in class?" Yuki asked with her hands on her hips in a slightly sassy manner.

"I was helping Ren adjust." Zero simply replied.

"So? That's no reason to skip class!"

Offended by her harsh words I immediately stood up and marched over to her, inches away from her face. It was obvious I was much taller than her. It amused me the way she kept a slightly angered face whilst looking up. "Oh shut up Yuki. The only person you only intend to help is Lord Kaname. To me it seems really insensitive."

Yuki glared at me, arms folded. I too had my arms folded. It was almost like a staring contest - more like a glaring contest.

"I'm part of the disciplinary comity in case you haven't noticed and I'm always there on time unlike the doofus over there."

I snarled at the irritating thing standing under my nose. I would have lunged at her - torn her limb by limb right on the stables concrete floor, painting her disgusting blood around the area, but I knew better. Instead I breathed in two deep breaths, shut my eyes tightly then opened them. Although, I still have her a hateful stare. "You don't even know." I said with a lowered voice.

"I don't even know what?"

I began to walk away, out of the stables and back towards the Moon dorms as it was noon. The suns rays felt warm on my pale skin, the parts that were bare. The breeze brushed gently against my face as well as causing my hair to seemingly swish gracefully to the side. I paused and turned my head, just enough for her to see my expressionless face. "The pain we go through everyday."

I began my way back to the school. The breeze felt good, real good. I loved the smell of the air. I loved being free.
