The Way of a Warrior (Rex x OC)

A Valuable Loss

A/N: hey im back not dead i hop you like today's chapter.

"CT-7567 where were you?" Krell laid into the clone as he walked in the door. "I-I was helping the Admiral with a mission report," Rex said. "Kissing her more like it," Fives whispered into the comm system for him, Echo and Rex. "Shut the heck up. I wasn't," Rex whisper-yelled into the comm."That is no excuse," Krell said, putting his hands on his hips. "You are dismissed," shooing the captain away. Rex just stood there. "I said you are dismissed," he said, lowering to Rex's level. Rex turned and went out the door. "Admiral, I have to report one of the clones on the verge of mutiny," Pong said into his wrist comm. "Who?" she replied. "CT-7567," he responded. "Hmm I'll be up in a second," she said trying not to sound angry. She was in the control room in record time and an unimpressed look evident on her face. "Ok tell me what he said," she said coldly. "He said that he was going to lead an assault on us with the Umbarans," Krell stated. "You make a good case General, but I know Captain Rex and I also know that he had his wrist comm on so I heard everything you said. There is no mutiny about to start. Just your stupidity as usual," she said. "Tha-" he tried to find a good argument. "No. You have to be pretty stupid to think you could keep anything from me. I know everything that goes on in this place or any other vessel I am on. Don't try to lie anymore. You got it," no response "Do you understand me," she raised her eyebrow slightly. "Yes yes," he gave in. "Rex you're off the hook, but please no more talk of mutiny," she winked at him and left to finish the mission reports.

-a little while later-

"General Krell you are under arrest for ordering your troops against each other," Rex said, as he and some other clones circled around the Jedi. "It's treason then," Krell said. "No, it's justice," Valda said, walking into the room. "Stand down," Rex said. A couple cones shot at Krell and he deflected them with his lightsabers. "You dare to attack a Jedi," the Jedi, Force pushed the clones and Valda against the wall. "I do," The grand admiral sassed. Valda aimed her DC-17 blaster pistols at the Jedi and landed a blaster bolt in his arm. "Ahh," he yelled in pain, "how dare you." He jumped out the window and Valda chased out after him. Rex and the couple of troopers that were left ran to the landing platform and chased after the rogue Jedi. "The ARC trooper was right, you should have listened to him from the beginning." Pong Krell's voice echoed in the shadowy forest of Umbara. "Did you forget that I know everything that happens under my watch," Valda repeated. Pong Krell growled and landed right in the middle of a little circle they had made in the forest.

"Valda!" Rex screamed as Pong Krell stabbed Valda with his lightsaber. He laughed and disappeared into the Umbaran forest once again. "Rex get him, finding him is more important than I am. Go," she demanded but Rex didn't move anywhere. "Val-" Rex started. "No, that is an order trooper leave me behind and go get the traitor. I am not as important," she yelled in his face. Rex slowly got up and ran in the direction that Krell was last seen going. "Admiral, are you sure?" Jesse said. "I am not going to last much longer. I need you to help Rex get over this, ok?" she said, the life slipping away from her slowly. "Yes ma'am," he said, grabbing his blaster and running off to get Krell.

Valda's POV

Jesse ran off and I let out a breath. I slowly stood and found a sniper rifle and binocs. I slowly made my way to where the clones were shooting at the ex-general. I dropped the binocs and aimed the sniper at Krell. When he was distracted I took the opportunity and pulled the trigger.

Rex's POV

A shot rang out and Krell fell over and dropped his lightsabers. I looked up at the ridge and saw a figure holding a sniper rifle. "Valda," I yelled. We all ran up to her as she stood up.

NO ONE'S POV

"Valda," Jesse said, surprised. She was having a hard time standing and she fell onto Rex and he lowered her to the ground. "Rex, I wanted to tell you something I never did," she started. She cupped his cheek and continued. "Trust M-Midnight Ice," she said, her breaths getting shallower. "I-l love you" a smile barely formed on her face as the life was slowly fading from her body.   'This isn't right. None of it is' Rex thought as hot, wet tears slid down his face and a lump in his throat wouldn't go away. "Rex, we have to go," Jesse said, coaxing the poor captain to get up. "We c-can't just leave her here" he said, his voice breaking the whole time. Jesse nodded and they carried her body to a dip in the forest and buried her there.

A/N: ok so there we go i hope you liked it. This was only 800 words so it is shorter but still i think it went as well as it could have. Midni-

Valda: hey why did you have to kill me

Hardcase: so i could have air time......obviously 

SWTCWNerd: really Hardcase. Go comfort your brother er something.

Hardcase: mmm can i eat your slippers?

SWTCWNerd: what no and i don't even have any

Hardcase: then what are these?

SWTCWNerd: my mom's

Hardcase: oh

Valda: waiting

SWTCWNerd: oh sorry umm helps with plot ok just be quiet

Valda: ugh fine
