The Way of a Warrior (Rex x OC)

The General

A/N: chapter 3 everyone hope you like it. If your wondering i will try to make around 20 chapters maybe more but until then here you go. The italics will be memories that Valda remembers. Rex and Valda have been spending a lot more time together these past 2 months. I wonder...

"A warrior with the will to fight is a weapon. Remember that always." "Yes master."

Valda breathed in the cold. Her breath visible to everyone in the control center. "Grand Admiral we are entering the atmosphere now," Rex said, walking over to her. "Ok good. Is everything ready?" Valda asked the clone captain. "Yes, the Jedi are in the drop ships," he said, taking his helmet off. "Good, I will join them shortly," she said, turning and walking back into the control center. Rex went to the main hangar and got in the drop ship. Valda ran down the hallway and made it to the main hangar. "Ok Bones take the ships down to the planet surface," she said into her comm as Bones lifted the gunship into the air and to the surface of Umbara.

People will let you down but you have to learn to let them go. Continue on with what you are doing. Let them die with the past.

As they got down to the surface of Umbara the Jedi and Admiral jumped out and landed gracefully on the battle front.

-the next rotation-

The gunship landed and a tall Besalisk stepped down. "General Krell, what are you doing here?" Anakin said almost immediately after he stepped out of the gunship. "I am here on behalf of the Jedi. You, Commander Tano, and Admiral Spade are to report to the Jedi temple immediately" he said. "Now wait a minute, who told you to send us away?" Valda said, stepping up to the Jedi. "The Jedi council," he said. "I am staying," Valda firmly stated. "No you are going," Pong Krell said. "No, I was assigned this mission and will see it to the end." Valda put her hand on her hip. "The Jedi told you to go onto the temple immediately" Krell tried sending Valda away. "I am the Grand Admiral so I am in a higher rank than the Jedi so my statement remains the same. I AM STAYING" she finished raising an eyebrow. He discreetly let out a defeated breath and put his hands behind his back. Ahsoka and Anakin got on the gunship and left. "Men move out," Valda yelled to the troopers. She motioned Rex to come over to her. "Keep an eye on our new friend," she said in a hushed tone.

A warrior only needs themselves and them only. You must depend on yourself and yourself alone. 'That didn't exactly happen, Mom.' Valda thought.

-when they were in the first battle-

"Take cover, move move," a trooper yelled as the Umbarans attacked. There were mines placed on the road so they were stuck as the Umbarans closed in on them. They shot at the droids and eventually shot all of them down. "Where are you going, why aren't you advancing so we can take the capital? '' Pong Krell sneered. "CT-7567. Do you have a malfunction in your design? You've pulled your forces back from taking the capital city. The enemy now has control of this route. This entire operation has been compromised, because of your failure." he was on the verge of screaming at the poor captain.

"General Krell, in case you haven't noticed, Captain Rex just saved this platoon. Surely you won't fail to recognize that." Fives finished clearly angry. "ARC-5555, stand down." the general ignites his lightsaber. "Sir. Yes, sir." Fives said through gritted teeth.

"Sir, if I may address your accusation, I followed your orders. Even in the face of a plan, that was, in my opinion, severely flawed. A plan that cost us men. Not clones! Men!" Rex yelled, throwing his helmet on the ground. After a short pause. "As sure as it is my duty to remain loyal to your command, I also have another duty. To protect those men," Rex calmed down. "You have a spark of tenacity, captain," Krell said, slightly amused. "I know that I don't command like the Jedi you're used to serving, certainly not like General Skywalker, but I have my way. It may be difficult, but these are difficult times. And it's proven effective-" he said. "No," someone said sharply at the Jedi. "Who said that?" he gripped his lightsaber. "I did," Valda said, stepping up to him. "Your strategy has NOT been proven effective. It shows how much of a coward you are," she firmly stated as a crowd of clones gathered to watch.

"I-"

"No, don't speak until I am done. You stand up there on your cliff just watching thinking you are all high and mighty up there. Well you're not so next fight I want you to be up there on the front lines fighting like a real Jedi would." She almost yelled at him and walked away without another word. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as Rex and the other clones dispersed.

You must never yield. Fight until you win or die. There is no stopping you must learn to never break. Being vulnerable will make you weak. You must stay strong. If you are captured you must never make a sound.

When they were at Kent Eh capital. The transmissions were cutting out and they had lost General Kenobi's call. "They must be jamming the transmissions," a clone punched the holo table "where is CT-7567" Krell sort of yelled in the control room.

-in vanda's room-

"Rex, I need to do these reports so please go see if Krell needs you for something," Valda rubbed her eyes. "Ok cyar'ika," he walked out of the room without another word.

You will have friends you know and care about betray you. You will have hardship but you must prevail and get through it together. And when it happens you must take them out for everyone's safety.

ok so i hope you liked it. and my b-day is in 11 days. Over 1100 words. When i was writing krell's name wanted o autocorrect to krill which i loved cause i love the clones and not Krell. 1 week then next one hope you have good day/night wherever you are. I might be starting to talk to some characters in the A/N's what would you think?
