The Way of a Warrior (Rex x OC)

A Sith

Midnight took long strides towards Anakin and grabbed the spear out of his hands. "Let's move before we get spotted," Midnight said, walking out of the wreckage. Anakin could feel something strange about her, like she was hiding something but he couldn't figure out what it was. Rex had moved to walk alongside Midnight.

"Midnight, where are you from?" Rex asked, trying to make some headway. "Nowhere," she replied but now her voice had a bit of hurt in it, unlike her usual flat emotionless tone. "Well you have to be from somewhere," Rex said, glancing back at Anakin. "Well there is also a first time for everything," she responded with more than a little emotion than intended. They stayed silent until a bright light shot across the sky. "What the heck was that?" Rex yelled but Midnight was not next to him. Anakin ran up at that moment. "Sir where did she go?" Rex quivered. "To save the day. Like always" Anakin said, running towards the crash.

ANAKIN'S POV (A COUPLE MINUTES BACK)

Rex caught up with Midnight and they talked. They looked so cute together. 'Fives will definitely ship it,' I thought and snickering. Rex looked back and I wiggled my eyebrows (mostly with the Force cause he can't wiggle both). He rolled his eyes and turned around again. They walked in silence and then a light shot across the sky. I ran up to Rex and he said, "Sir where did she go?" "To save the day. Like always" I smiled and ran off in the direction of the crash.

MIDNIGHT'S POV

I ran in the direction of the crash. A LAAT/i had landed right in the middle of a park area. I ran right over and checked for survivors. "Hello, is anyone there? '' a voice called from the wreckage but the voice was too familiar. "Yes, where are you?" Midnight yelled back. "Under the door," they banged on the door they were stuck under. "How many of you are still alive? '' Midnight yelled. "5 including me and 3 injured," the person responded but why was the voice so familiar? "Midnight!" Rex yelled. Midnight turned and raised an eyebrow. "We are calling for assistance," he yelled back. Midnight turned back around and ran to the door. "Ok everyone move to the east side of the wreckage," Midnight yelled, waiting for a response. "Ok," the familiar voice said. With that Midnight gripped the side of the door and threw the door off the LAAT/i. Rex stopped dead in his tracks. "What's wrong Rex?" Anakin asked. "D..Di..Did you just see that?" Rex pointed at Midnight who was looking at him.

In his helmet he heard Midnight ask him, "What's wrong Rex?" "How did you lift that?" he responded, standing straight. "I used my arms," Midnight said back. Rex nodded his head in amusement. Midnight peered into the hole and saw none other than Anya Stoneheart. Midnight cautiously held her hand out and Anya grabbed it. Midnight pulled her out and the other 4 survivors. "Stoneheart," Midnight said emotionlessly, but this time it sent shivers down everyone's spine. "Alice, how are you?" Anya asked. Midnight gulped. "G...Good. Y...you?" she grimaced. "Fine now, but we need to get my troops out of there," she stated and Midnight jumped in the hole. "Alright boys we are going to take you out but the injured need to go first," Midnight said putting her hands behind her back. She walked over to the most injured and scooped him up. She jumped out. "Anakin, can you take him to the infirmary?" Midnight said, laying the trooper on the ground next to the hole. Anakin nodded and put the clone on a hover-stretcher. When they had gotten everyone out and to med-bay, Rex walked over to Midnight who was looking at her data pad confused. "Hey" the blond clone sat down. "Mm" Midnight hummed. "Hello you there" Rex waved his hand in front of her face but didn't get a response.

"Oh no the Separatists are coming and Fives just got shot!" Rex faked.

"Wha..where.. Where are they?" Midnight jumped up. "Relax just trying to get your attention," Rex put a hand on her elbow to get her to sit back down. "What's got you so bothered?" Rex quired. "The ship's crash doesn't make sense," Rex raised an eyebrow,"there was nothing wrong with it. It was in perfect condition," Midnight said emotionless, her eyebrows scrunching up in thought. Rex was even more confused than he had ever been in his life. "What if she sensed me and made the gunship crash so I could see it" Midnight talked to herself mostly. "Why would a Jedi do that?" Rex said. "Because she isn't a Jedi," Midnight said. "If she's not a Jedi then what is she?" Rex said even more confused. But before Midnight could answer, her comm beeped. "Admiral Ice, who is this?" Midnight answered emotionless. "General Skywalker, we need you at the Jedi Temple to be put back to the command of the Admiral," he said, waiting for a response. "Ok I am on my way," she hung up and started towards the Jedi temple Rex a couple paces behind her. "Midnight the council has found you trust worthy to be put back in your old position as Admiral," Ki Adi Mundi said, a smile on his face. Midnight bowed and walked out of the Temple.

As she got closer to the clone barracks a headache had gotten worse but she didn't know why. Then it hit her like a Republic warship jumping into hyperspace. 'No no no! Not now it can't be happening,' she yelled at herself in her thoughts. She collapsed on the ground with a thud as memories past filled her mind.

She woke up in the same spot as she had fallen over on. She checked her data pad. 'Good only a few seconds' she thought. She knocked on the 501rst barrack door. Havoc opened it and she said why she was coming. He led her to where Rex and some of the boys were watching Jesse and Hardcase play Dejarik. "Captain, I need to speak with you" Midnight said, getting looks from the troopers. She took him outside and he asked. "If Master Stoneheart isn't a Jedi what is she?"

Hardcase: did i win the Dejarik game or not?

Jesse: no it was me

Midnight: Hardcase most definitely

Anakin: what looks were the troopers giving you

Midnight: suspicious ones why?

Anakin: nothing

Hardcase: i have to go beat jesse again so scuse me

-hardcase and jesse out

Anakin: yeah i need to go buy some flowers for no reason

Midnight: we gotta go bye
