The Way of a Warrior (Rex x OC)

A/N: thumbs up means end of a bloody section and thumbs down means bloody section coming up so prepare.

Warnings: A LOT of blood

Midnight's wings erupted from her back and she flew through the air in a rage. "Midnight!" Matilda called out in the same tone she had when Midnight left. "What," Midnight ground out. "What are you doing?" Matilda asked. "I-I am helping Rex," Midnight said. "Are you helping Rex or are you getting what you want?" Matilda pointed out. Midnight never thought her sister (the most tomboyish of them all I might add) could be so thoughtful. They flew side by side until they spotted the palace. "For me," Midnight reluctantly said. "That's what I thought," Matilda said. Normally her sister was more secretive about her feelings just like Cross was. Then she remembered the Bad Batch was here. She would deal with that later but now she had to free Rex from his imprisonment.

She dove down to the front gate. "Kassian let me through," Midnight said sternly. "I am sorry milady but you are not allowed anywhere near the palace," Kassian replied. "Let. Me. In." Midnight said again but this time a little more edge in her voice. "I am sorry but no," Kassian said again, putting a hand on his sai. Midnight looked up at him and said, "Fine, have it your way." she turned slightly but then turned around just as he relaxed and brought her foot up to his head in a nice roundhouse kick. His eyes widened and the kick connected with the side of his head. He stumbled back and drew his sai. He swung and she ducked. She didn't want to hurt him but she also needed to get into the castle. He caught her in the middle of her thought and whacked her nice and hard on the head with his sai. Midnight clutched her head and looked up at the tall Warrior. She lifted him into the air with the red flame and threw him to the side. She ran through the palace to find Kiwano. She found her way into the throne room to see none other than Kiwano sitting on her throne. "Get the heck off my dang fricken throne you piece of work," Midnight yelled at Kiwano.

"No"

"Dank Ferrik Kiwano! Get Off!" Midnight yelled angrily.

"No," Kiwano said smugly.

"This is the last chance for you to get off or I will come up there," Midnight raised her voice just enough to threaten the young Warrior. "No, I am staying up here," he said internally, becoming fearful of Midnight. Midnight took long angry strides towards Kiwano. He stood up and pulled out his knife. Midnight marched up to the throne and Kiwano took a small step back. Midnight reached the platform where the throne was and clenched her fists. A transformation happened that Midnight barely ever did and the person it was directed to was sure to be in a lot of trouble. Her eyes turned a dark charcoal gray with golden yellow pupils. Her blue hair dye became a blood red color. The scar over her left eye became more prominent and a ball of blood red flame encircled her fist once again. Kiwano's hand shook and his grasp on the dagger loosened.

Kiwano's POV

Midnight turned into her Warrior form and it was frightening. My hand shook and the dagger was ready to fall out of my hand. I closed my eyes and focused on my inner self. I reopened my eyes and my claws grew in from my fingertips, a painful but welcoming pain. I could feel a burn behind my eyes and I knew they had turned. A cool wave washed over me and stayed in my hands. A faint sound of cracking and an occasional whooshing sound came from down near my hands. I looked down and I saw an icy blue flame with blue lightning surrounding the flame. I smiled but this was different. It wasn't a normal smile. It was sparked by something deep within, something evil and I loved it.

I embraced it.

Midnight's eyes widened as she saw what I was becoming. A sharp pain sprung from my shoulder blades and a weight pulled me down from the back. A waft of cool air flowed from behind me and I knew my wings had grown in. It had been so long since I had used them. Midnight's face filled with rage and I said, "Having trouble with your boyfriend, Midnight," I said with an evil tone. "Let him go, you idiot!" Midnight yelled so loud that the palace shook. "Fine but you won't get off as easy," I said, releasing my hold on Rex. I extended my hand and a blast of icy blue flame shot out headed towards Midnight.
