Warnings: torture and blood

MIDNIGHT'S POV

I woke up strapped to a metal board. "What! What am I here?" I yelled. My mother stepped into the light and all the memories rushed back into my head. "You lied to me!" I screamed in her face and wriggled in the straps. "And you thought I wouldn't?" she chuckled darkly, "You fool! I was on to you from the moment you left the planet. You came back and for that I am grateful, but you also killed my best spy," my mother said. I tried to think of who it could be and the only name that came to mind was Jedi General Pong Krell.

NO ONE'S POV

"Krell was working for you," Midnight said. "Smart girl, but you have learned too much information. Guards you may begin!" she yelled. Midnight looked around, but before she saw guards she saw the glint off of shiny weapons in the shadows. Then the torture began and Midnight's mom stepped back just enough so that a shadow was cast over her face. Midnight looked at her mother with pained eyes and a sorrowful expression. She was losing blood fast and she mouthed, "how could you?" A couple minutes later her head slumped over and the guards dragged her to her cell.

BACK TO THE PRESENT TIME

Anakin looked back at Rex and Rex looked down at Midnight. Midnight wouldn't last any longer in this place without help. Rex scooped her up and they ran out of the cell. As they freed the others along the way, Rex said, "Kix, can you take a look at her and see if anything is fatal." He slowed down and let Kix catch up to him to let him make a quick examination at Midnight. "She will be fine for now but if she goes for too long without medical help, the results could be fatal,'' Kix looked at Rex who was looking at Midnight. " Rex, Kix you need to keep up,'' Anakin yelled from the front. The 2 clones ran down the hallway to catch up and saw none other than Matilda walking down the hallway.

"Matilda!" Rex yelled, catching the young female warrior's attention. "Hmm," she replied. Rex ran up to her Midnight still in his arms. "My mother," she said, not surprised. Rex nodded and she took him, midnight, and Kix to the nearest med bay. "Can your doctor fix her up?" She asked mainly to relax. Kix nodded and set straight to work. Matilda dragged Rex into the hallway and asked, "What's you cut? How did you get my sister?"

"We both knew Valda Spade and as we talked we got to know each other," Rex finished as Matilda gilded her tongue over her top teeth. "Valda Spade ey," she looked directly into the captain's eyes, "I guess you haven't heard." she stopped her sentence and Rex knew not to ask anymore questions. "She is all taken care of," Kix said, popping his head out of the door.

Something in Rex sparked and all the distrust for Midnight came back and he subtly clenched his teeth. He walked back into the room where Midnight was. She was all bandaged up and her eyes were open looking at the ceiling. Rex got there but instead of going to her side he sat in the chair farthest away from her. Matilda walked over to Midnight and updated her on everything that was happening. "Your Jedi friend called in backup and now four battalions and a special clone unit are all coming here and we need to be ready to attack," the emphasis she put on the word attack meant this was going to be a full blown out war. The Warriors faced the Jedi once, they could do it again. Matilda fished around in the pack and pulled out a syringe with a purple liquid in it native to the planet. She injected it into Midnight's neck. "Rex leave while you can," Midnight said. Again the clone captain clenched his teeth but he didn't know why. He wanted to go over to her and say goodbye but something dark was pulling back and he wasn't strong enough to fight against it. The 2 clones left to find the Republic ships.

TIME SKIP TO THE BATTLE

The Republic was suffering heavy losses and the Warriors were winning, but something happened to help even the odds. A blast of blood red flame hit a group of Warriors in the middle of the front row killing them. The clones looked up to see Midnight with wings flying high in the sky. A blood flame encircled her fists and her face filled with rage. The Warriors came out of their daze and started firing (with bows and arrows) at Midnight she dove down to where she hit the group of soldiers and landed in the middle. She created a force field protecting the Republic from her people but as the Warriors kept firing it was harder for her to hold up.
