I had to change to normal shoes as my feet were getting sore from running around the huge shopping centre after we'd already been around once to every store- my boots had been getting heavy to lift. I'd dumped my last haul in my bag and ran towards the esclators near Woolworths, I opened the cash register to find that there was still money inside. "GUYS THERES STILL MONEY IN THE REGISTERS!!!" I shouted and they came from everywhere. "I'll take the top end with- Sky looked at me and made a pleading face- Sky if thats okay with you and meet back at the Terrace alright?" Flic and Sky nodded and ran off to their end.
Sky and I were both dripping with sweat it was that hot inside and we'd been running around shop to shop that we literally looked like we'd just had a shower. Sitting outside on at one of the Gelatismo tables we waited for the others to get here- it was around 12pm the hottest part of the day. "Were do you think they are?" Sky asked as she unlocked her phone. " I don't know but I'd say it's safe to say we've covered every store here" I replied trying to fix my fringe. "I can't stop thinking of all the things we have done and what we're missing out on- im mean what if we are we the ones who are really missing.... we disappeared" she ranted and tillted her head back to look at the ceiling. "Here they are! You slowpokes! Your lucky we didn't leave without you!' I shouted as they came into veiw around the corner after their voices had interuped the creepy, eerie quietness. We left as soon as we could, our minds on the beach and a nice chill swim as we headed back to the beach.
The wind had picked up today down the beach, making bigger waves but we still played in the surf for about an hour. I was out waist deep just chilling on my boogie board waiting for the right wave when I noticed Great Keppel Island in the distance. I must of been staring for a couple of seconds because a large wave came and dumped me about three meters back from were I had been. I froze. Great Keppel Island had power the last and the first time i'd been over there. Oh I was such an idiot. The Island must run off solar power. It still had functioning power!
