Our uniforms aren't meant for this weather, being in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. It's only blue jackets and long navy blue pants we are aloud to wear-normaly. Uniforms, why does the Australian Government make all shcools have uniforms. Ours is simple, knee length navy blue pants with a zip up right pocket and our shcool logo embroidered into the left, and a multi-coloured blue, brown and white stripped shirt. Suitable for summer and winter in Australia, but today being the coldest day of the year and and dam history just about any clothing that kept you warm could slide."How did you get this?" Sky asked as I let garlic-breads fall out of my hands and onto the cold metal lunch table. "I had $20 remember? I only used $10, plus it's so cold!" I said threw numb lips as I pulled off my bag and sat down next to her. Sky was about three cm taller than me. She had blonde hair with sandy brown streaks in it- unlike my hair hers wasn't going any darker. Her beautiful light blue eyes watched me oblivious to me knowing she was watching me unwrap my food. Over her uniform she was wearing our field hockey club's jumper, it was navy blue with a red logo and writing saying "Wanderers" and one of the arms had Est.1946 as well in red, the year it was established.
Our school jumpers or jackets weren't that warm compared to our hockey ones, I guess Sky could see cause she moved closer. "Why were you staring before?" I asked her trying to hide how tense my body was next to her. "Was I? Sorry I was daydreaming" she looked away and returned to eating her lunch. We decided to stay at the bench because we were too cold to go anywhere.
