Stan woke up hearing his alarm blaring like crazy.
His mom opens the door and walks in.
“Good morning sweetie, are you all packed?"
“Packed for what?-" Stan sat up, a sharp pain in the head.
“It's the weekend, you're going to the farm."
“Do I have to go?" Stan whined
“Your sister is going, you should too, I'm sure your dad wants to see you."
“He can just visit then. I don't want to go to that shitty farm."
          “Stanley."
“Fine." Stan groaned and made his way out of bed, grabbing a bag and tossing clothes in for the weekend.

Stan and Shelly ate their breakfast in silence, not wanting to make their way to the farm. Pulling his phone out he texts the others that he's going away for the weekend.

Stan got in the car with his sister.
“Do we really need to go?"
“Yeah, why do we need to go? that place is a complete shit hole."
“Your father wants to see you both, and it's good for you." Shelly groaned as she reclined her seat, and listened to her music. Stan laid down in the back seats, listening to his own music.
“Why did you guys have to divorce?"
“Ah- Stan.." Sharon paused, "Sometimes people fall out of love and tend to go their separate ways."
“You said that last time." adding volume to his music he closes his eyes and starts to doze off.

Arriving at the farm Stan wakes up, hitting his head against the front seat.
          “Shit.."
          “Shut up turd!"
          “both of you, behave yourselves"
“Hey Sharon, hey kids, ready to help me in the fields?" Randy poked his head into the back window smiling.
“Dad- you smell like a shit ton of weed-"
“Of course! It's the best part of the job!"
“Eugh. I'm gonna be in my room." Shelly got out the car and entered the house.
“C’mon Stan. Let’s get to work, the fields aren’t going to pick themselves!” Stan climbs out the car and heads inside the house, Randy and Sharon take their kid’s belongings inside, leaving them beside the couch for the kids to grab later.
“Make sure they eat something healthy this time Randy. They can’t keep eating junk food or anything containing weed.”
“I know Sharon.” Randy rolls his eyes and makes his way into the kitchen fixing himself a cup of coffee as well as a cup for Sharon. She enters not long after and takes the cup.
          “So how’s the business been?”
“It’s been going well, I could afford their tuitions now”
“You mind paying for Shelly? Work is running low and we’re almost living off every paycheck” Sharon sighed as she stared at her cup.
“Of course, that’s not an issue, if you need I can lend you some too.”
“Things will get better soon, I’ll give you a call if we need help.” Randy nods and leaves the kitchen to get the kids.

Stan lays in bed, staring at the fan as it spun around. Pulling out his phone he decided to text someone.

Stan tossed his phone to the end of his bed and groaned. A knock came from his door as his dad peeked in.
         “Stan?”
         “What is it dad?”
        “Ready to work?”
         “I guess”
“Atta boy!” Randy smiled and left Stan to get ready. Sliding off of the bed, he takes his hat off and places it on the desk nearby. Making his way downstairs as his mom leaves the house.
“Hey dad, why did you guys divorce?"
“People just grow out of love and need to go their separate ways, Stanley."
“Mom said the same thing," Stan mutters. "Why marry in the first place then?" Randy sighs as he walks over to Stan.
“There was a time when I loved your mother. she was beautiful, smart, amazing. Everything you could ever dream of, I loved her, I really did. Things started to go downhill. Suddenly, we argued constantly, and I'd start drinking again to try and forget everything. We weren't happy anymore."
          “Sounds like Wendy and I."
          “Your girlfriend?"
“We're not dating. She hates me, and I've moved on."
“I see. Well, any other girl you might like? your old man could try and set you up." Randy smirks and ruffles Stan's hair.
“What are your opinions on gay people?"
“We're all a little gay, Stanley."
“Well, I'm bi, and I like a guy."
“That's great kiddo, you better make a move soon!" Stan smiles and nods, hugging his dad and then running off to get to work in the fields.

Stan ran up his room, the smell of all the weed was messing with him and now he could hardly breathe properly. He rampages through his belongings and pulls out his inhaler and quickly using it. He sighs and looks out the window, he spots his dad who is looking back at him. Holding a thumbs up, receiving a nod, he stays in his room.
