Zayn's POV
After working out I sat on the top of the kitchen counter to eat a bowl of cereal.
It was almost noon and just like everyday, I found myself without anything to do.
I visited my closet, pushed some stuff around and grabbed a white t-shirt and a grey button up shirt, that of course I didn't button up. I did roll up the sleeves up to my elbows and I pulled up some black jeans I found. After somewhat taming my hair into a messy but fashionable hairdo I took my phone and my car keys and walked out the door.
I drove without any precautions and easily followed the route I had been taking for the past two weeks. The route to Helen's house.
Once I parked on the front of her house I stepped off my car and checked my phone. One text message.
"Where are you?" It read.
It was from my boss.
I ignored it and didn't reply. I shut off the phone so I could have an excuse later for not answering the text. I didn't want to talk about my job now. I wanted to see Helen. Which was something I still didn't want to try to figure out. It bothered me, the need I had to see her since the day I met her. I've never been the kind of guy to get hooked really fast on a girl, I tend to fall really slowly without noticing or just have a nice time with them once and move on. I was on unknown territory here.
I knocked on the door and waited. A few minutes later I saw the door handle turning and I looked up when Helen's figure appeared in front of me.
"Hi" I said with a smirk, leaning my body on the wall part of the door's threshold. I was really close to her face since she was still standing between a slightly opened door and me.
"You again?" she groaned. She didn't look upset about the fact that I was here so I knew she was just faking annoyance.
"Yep, so are you going to let me in or are we going to go back to being rude?" I asked with an arched eyebrow.
She sighed, feigning exasperation but pulled the door open completely and stepped to the side so I could come in.
"Atta girl" I cooed. I looked at her in time to see her roll her eyes and I couldn't help but chuckle.
Ever since we met our relationship has been... interesting; for the lack of a better word.
"So what are you doing here?" she asked, sitting down on the couch, hugging her knees in front of her. She looked at me when I sat down on the couch, not close to her though, at the other side. I had noticed how when I sat close to her she was more closed off, putting walls up mentally. She didn't like it when I got too close, so I sat far from her, as much as I could.
"Had nothing to do. Came to visit" I said with a shrug.
"That's what you've been doing everyday since we met" she stated matter of factly.
"I never have anything interesting to do" I replied with a smile.
"Don't you work?" she asked. I shifted on my seat, just enough to at least face her while we talked.
"Yeah. But I work at night. I'm free all afternoon" I said.
"What do you do for work?" she asked, curiosity getting the best of her.
"A few stuff, but mainly I'm a boxer" I told her. This got her attention because her gaze burned mine.
"Are you any good?" she asked, trying to pretend it didn't impress her.
