Helen’s POV

I regained consciousness, but in a haze.

A cloth bag was over my head, so I couldn’t see my surroundings. My fogged up brain started clearing at a slowed pace but that was better than nothing. As soon as my senses had awoken I noted a tang of cinnamon scented air freshener in the room. How I figured that out was anybody’s guess…

I tried to move my arms but they were twisted behind my back and I had been tied up with something that felt like thick metal wire. Great. I’m sure both of my arms would be pretty much falling asleep after whatever time I had been here already but the jerk who tied me up did it so mercilessly tight that the wire was cutting into my flesh; causing enough pain to keep my arms useful, in the sense that they were still awake.

My legs were pinned together with a thick rope from my ankles up to mid-calf; making it impossible for me to even try to free them.

I obviously couldn't figure out where I was, since my sense of sight had been taken from me. Also, I couldn't move, so touch was out of the question as well. All I had was my senses of smell and hearing. But all I could smell was the air freshener and my own perspiration.

The room was devoid of air conditioning or fans, maybe a basement? I didn't know, but it was so hot and stuffed up that I felt like I was suffocating.

Sweat trickled beneath my clothes and I couldn't seem to force a single proper deep breath through my lungs. Everytime I tried my breath came in shallow and panic constricted my chest, almost painfully. I needed to get out of here!

"Help! Someone help me!" I started yelling, the attempts were weak and feeble but I had to do something.

Loud footsteps clicked and rasped on the floor above and then I heard a door open and close before the same shoes hit what I imagined were wooden stair steps. I heard as they got louder and closer.

So I was right! I was in a basement of some sorts.

My thoughts were interrupted when my captor yanked off the cloth bag from my head not so carefully.

Bright fluorescent light blurred my vision for a few moments before my sight adjusted to my new surroundings, and then my gaze stopped searching.

The face in front of me made my heart give one loud painful beat.

"Georgia? What on earth is going on?"

My mind was racing, going through every possibility but I didn't have to think hard to come up with a reason for her to do this to me; this was her revenge for taking Harry from her... or punishment to Harry for choosing me.

"Hello Helen, nice of you to finally come around. Oh, and the screaming? Totally unnecessary, we're too far off the mountains for ANYONE to hear you. But nice try" her voice was sugar coated with bitter sarcasm and menace.

So basically she was making it quite clear and simple.

My fate was completely in her hands.

Louis's POV

"Louis, may I ask what on heaven are you doing?" In the past couple of hours, the calmed, smooth Harry I had known for years, was replaced with an impatient, tough, nerve-wrecked, scary person that I didn't recognize at all.

All because of Georgia. And Helen. And the danger she was faced with at the moment, and the uncertainty of what was happening to her while we "wasted" time doing nothing. In his words not mine.

The whole situation left me fear-struck. I never would have imagined or even contemplated that I would be facing something like this. It only happened in movies, for God's sake! Which makes me guess that Georgia obviously has been watching too many of them. For my taste, I mean.

Then and idea swirled in my mind, and I knew exactly who could help us.

I swiftly took out my phone, and went through my contacts, until I got to the name I was looking for; Liam.

I touched the name and the screen showed the word 'Dialling' before I placed it next to my ear.

I met Harry's questioning gaze and just uttered two simple words, "Trust me" and he relaxed noticeably. Because we were best friends and he knew he could, and because he knew I cared about Helen very close to the way he did and I wanted her to be safe as much as him.

Liam answered on the third ring.

"Ello, mate! What a kind surprise that you called" his voice came through the phone.

"Not as kind as you think, old friend. I'm gonna give you an address where I want you to meet me, please bring all your toys with you" I specified.

"Oh... so this is a serious type of meeting eh? Don't worry Louis. Whatever you need from me, I'll do it. I know you wouldn't ask if it wasn't important... not when you know in how much trouble I could get" he was right about that, and I really wouldn't ask him to do what I planned to ask if Helen's life weren't at steak.

"I know, Liam. I apologize in advance for bringing you into this... by the way, we might need back up, if you know what I mean" a moment of silence and I heard and Irish voice yell out something about Liam never having enough food in the fridge.

"Oh, don't worry, I have just the right guy for back up. Trust him with my life. See you soon lad, and may God keep us from any harm" he hung up and I sighed.

Shit was about to get real. Crazy real.
