Dana was in her dorm, sitting on the couch, watching TV as she did her nails. Right then she heard a knock on the door and looked up.

"It's open!" She called, but no one came in. There was another knock, this time louder.

"Seriously?" She sighed to herself and got up to open the door.

She was met with Riley resting on the door frame, looking as if she was about to fall over.

"Riley? What the fuck are you doing here? I told you to leave me alo-" before she could finish her sentence, Riley fell stumbled forward and fell into the girl's arms, "for fuck's sake. Are you drunk?"

Riley looked up at her with sleepy eyes and grinned, "just a tad bit" she made a gesture, bringing her thumb and index finger very close to each other to show how little she was drunk. Dana sighed and rolled her eyes, she closed the door and dragged Riley to the couch.

"Great, you've ruined my nails" she said, annoyedly, looking at her red mess of nails.

"Sorry 'bout that" Riley said as she made herself comfortable on the couch and proceeded to fall asleep.

"Why did you drink?"

"A few of the students wanted to go out and drink. I thought why not" she shrugged, "they should still be at the bar actually. You wanna go?" She asked.

"No, I don't. I'm having a mental health day" Dana crossed her arms and Riley looked up at her with a ridiculous expression.

"A what?" She chuckled.

"A mental health day. It's when I prioritize myself for the day and take care of my physical and mental health. You should try it some time. Clearly, you need it" she scoffed.

"Don't worry. Drinking helps with my inner happiness" she replied, "oh, hey, you're watching 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', I love that movie" she pointed at the TV and grinned.

"I know, I was the one that showed it to you" Dana rolled her eyes and shifted in her seat uncomfortably, "why did you come here anyways? Weren't you busy getting trashed with your friends?"

"They're not my friends. And I don't know, I was just thinking about you and-..." Riley went quiet. For once Dana wished she would speak.

"Doesn't matter" Riley sighed, "I should get going now. My drinking buddies are probably missing me" she said obnoxiously and got up, almost falling back down, but caught herself.

"Are you sure you can get there by yourself?" Dana asked, before catching herself from saying the sentence.

"Why? You wanna come with?" Riley raised a suggestive eyebrow.

"No" she crossed her arms again, "mental health day, remember?"

"Right" she chuckled, "see ya, cupcake" said and turned around.

"Is Lindsey there too?" Dana asked before the girl could open the door and Riley sighed annoyedly and turned around.

"No. Why?"

"Just wondering if there's anyone to stop you incase you decide to do something you'll regret" she shrugged.

"Lindsey's a lightweight, I'd have to be the one taking care of her and besides, I already did something I'm regretting. I'm standing in your dorm, aren't I?" She outstretched her arms.

"Oh, you do that when you're sober as well" Dana smiled and Riley looked at her with a stern expression.

"You're terrible" she said and Dana chuckled, "can I go now? Or do you have anything else to ask?"

"Hey, you're the one that barged in here, don't get mad at me" Dana complained and Riley let out a small laugh.

"Okay, bye" she said and left the dorm.

Dana was left alone with her thoughts and memories of the past. When it had first started, they had agreed - no feelings. But Dana caught feelings, so Riley left and Dana became even colder than before. It was all Riley's fault - Dana knew that and she knew that the other girl was incapable of anything other than sex with no strings. So why did it feel as if Riley cared sometimes. Like in moments like these... Dana would think that Riley was maybe capable of something... more.

But it didn't matter. Because Dana refused to chase after something that might not even happen. That's why she was trying to cut contact with her, but Riley wouldn't let her. She always came back, when Dana least expected and she always surprised her. But whenever Dana allowed hope of them being something more, Riley always crushed those dreams. She could be so charming one minute and so cruel - the next.
