AJ got to the dorm 309 and stopped before the door. She took a deep breath, tried to calm herself and knock.

"One second!" Someone called from the other side of the dorm. There was a loud bang and then AJ heard fast footsteps approaching the door. She also heard laughing. Were they laughing at her? Maybe it was weird that she had come here. They would think she's an outsider. She wouldn't fit in-

The door opened and a girl AJ recognised from earlier in the dining hall smiled at her. "Hey! You must be AJ, I'm Angie"

"She fucking fell from the couch!" Riley burst put laughing from the inside.

"Oh, fuck off, I tripped" Angie shouted back at her and then turned back to AJ, "sorry, I'm a little tipsy. Come in"

AJ walked in and Angie led her to the living room, "you don't mind us drinking and smoking, right?" She asked as AJ sat down on the old couch. Riley was sitting in an armchair with her legs up on the side of the armchair and a bottle of vodka in one hand. There was also a boy sitting on the same couch AJ sat down on. He was also laughing at Angie and was holding weed in his hand.

"No, not at all. I was hoping to get drunk tonight too actually" AJ said and rubbed her knees.

"Oh, nice!" Riley said and straightened up on the armchair, "here you go, sweets" she leaned forward and gave AJ her bottle of vodka. The girl took a look at before gulping some of it down. She didn't cough, which wasn't surprising- this wasn't her first time drinking.

AJ saw that Riley was smiling at her, as if she was seeing her in a new way.

"We need music" the boy said and leaned over the couch to pull out a laptop from his backpack. He turned it on and played the loudest music AJ had ever heard.
