Lindsey was woken up by the cold breeze coming into the tent. She adjusted her eyes to the light and saw that Riley was already awake and sitting up.

"For fuck's sake, come on!" The brunette girl yelled at her phone. Her hair was all messy and mostly covering her face.

"What's wrong?" Lindsey asked and rubbed her head. She had the worse hangovers.

"My phone's dead and I may have fucked up whatever relationship I had with Dana last night" she answered without looking up from the phone.

"May have?"

"Yeah, some things are missing from my memory, but I'm pretty sure I told her to go fuck herself" Riley said and looked at Lindsey, "I have to go back to the academy. You coming?"

"Why do you care?" Lindsey asked in a groggy morning voice.

"What?" Riley raised her eyebrows.

"About what you said to Dana. You said you didn't want a relationship with her" she shrugged.

"I don't..." Riley said a bit more hesitantly, getting defensive.

"So why do you care?"

"I just... I don't want a relationship with her, but I don't want her to hate me either" she explained with wild hand gestures as if what she was saying to Lindsey should have already been obvious to her.

"Why not? You care about her?" Lindsey asked, a small smile sneaking in.

"I don't! Fuck off!" Riley snapped.

"Oh, come on. Don't lie to me of all people" she rolled her eyes.

"So... so what if I care about her?!" Riley scoffed. She sounded like a stubborn little kid at the moment. She would always get a little childish whenever she felt threatened and would react by blowing up at the person, "doesn't mean I have to be her girlfriend!" She said the last word as if she was disgusted by it. And in a way she was. Nothing sounded worst to Riley than commitment.

"No, of course not, but it's kind a mean, don't you think? Playing with her feelings like that..." Lindsey said, careful of her chosen words.

"I'm not playing with her" her tone deepened, "if anything, she's the one playing. She always says she want me to leave her alone, but calls me in the middle of the night to go and fuck her"

"Maybe she's just trying to stop herself from getting hurt" she shrugged.

"So why'd she call me last night?" Riley crossed her arms.

"I dunno... I guess sometimes we can't help being attracted to people who are bad for us" Lindsey said, her voice sounding a bit sad.

The two went quiet. Riley seemed deep in thought at first, but then looked up at Lindsey with confused eyes, as if a new thought had passed through her mind.

"You sounded like you were speaking from experience" Riley said. Lindsey didn't answer, just looked at her with saddened eyes, "are you attracted to someone?"

Lindsey looked at Riley and for a second considered telling her, but then she changed her mind. Plus she no longer felt that way about Riley anymore, "I was... but it's hopeless now. And soon Dana might think that it's hopeless for you two as well and she might stop calling you. So if you like her... don't fuck it up"

"Wake up, sleepy" a soft voice spoke that woke Dana up. She slowly opened her eyes to see her friend, Lila, standing over her.

"Hey..." she said in a small voice, different from her usual high pitched tone, "what time is it?"

"8:30. Don't worry, I got everyone that stayed over to leave and some of the students are helping me clean" Lila said. She was sitting on the edge of Dana's bed.

"You didn't have to do that" Dana said and sat up, rubbing her head.

"It's nothing. Are you feeling better? You seemed a bit off last night. Did you have a lot to drink?"

"No, I didn't drink. I was just having a bad day" she explained.

"What happened?"

"I just... I called Riley..." she said shamefully and lowered her head as she waited for the other girl's response.

Lila raised her eyebrows then frowned as if she felt bad for the girl, "Dana, no... again?"

"Yeah, I dunno... " she rubbed her head with both hands, "I'm so stupid..."

"No, you're not. There's just something about bad girls and bad boys I guess. I mean, look at me and Jake" Lila shrugged and chuckled.

"Yeah, but the difference is that Jake is in love with you. Riley just told me to go fuck myself"

"She- What?!" Lila threw her head back, "oh, I'm going to yank that bitch!"

Dana let out a small laugh, "thanks... " she said. They both went quiet and Dana played with the edge of her blanket.

"Lila..." Dana started and the other girl looked up at her, "do you think I'm a bad person?"

Lila shook her head in disbelief, "what? Of course not. You're amazing. I mean, come on, you're Dana Brooke. Stop doubting yourself, everyone loves you" she grinned.

"Except for Riley" Dana sighed.

"Riley is a very bad person, Dana. She doesn't even love herself, how could she possibly love anyone else? You'll find someone who's good for you soon enough"

"Yeah, I guess you're right... Riley will never love someone" she said and took a deep breath. It was now the time of the day when Dana would put all her worries aside and put on her bitch mask as she strolled through the halls of the academy while everyone gazed at her in admiration.

She got up and took a shower. Afterwards she put on a plaid tennis skirt with a black turtleneck, dark tights and black boots that reached her calfs. She did her hair and makeup and left with Lila.
