"Okay! So, I get my allowance at the end of this week, which mean I will have enough money to afford a dorm room" Lindsey spoke as she sat on the rug with her legs crossed and money spread in front of her.

A girl her age came into the small messy living room and sat down in front of her, putting two big mugs of coffee on the floor and crossing her legs the same way.

"Cool! You won't have to drive an hour just to get to Uni for a few lectures" the girl said. She had blonde hair slightly longer than Lindsey and looked identical to her sister.

"Yeah, but it's just for this year. I'll have to think of something else next year. All these jobs are too distracting for my studies. I've fallen behind already" Lindsey sighed and picked up her mug, "thanks by the way" she nodded at the coffee.

"No problem. And don't worry. You will think of something. And I'll try to help as much as I can" the girl said.

"Thank you, Lorry, really, it means so much that you're letting me stay with you until I move into the new dorm" Lindsey said, "wow... can't believe I finally get to move into a dorm"

"Don't get to excited. Jaden says the space is small and the roommates are always fucking annoying and messy and you'll probably have a harder time studying now" Lorry laughed, making her sister laugh as well.

"I'm sure it will be fine"

"Have you met any of your roommates yet?" She asked.

"Just one. You know her actually..." Lindsey said, awkwardly finishing the sentence.

"Oh, no. Why'd you say it like that? Who is it?" Lorry frowned.

"...Riley Towers..." Lindsey said, the words almost coming out as a whisper.

"Oh, no! I hate that girl! She was so rude to me when we met" Lorry whined.

"Oh come on, she wasn't that rude..." Lindsey said awkwardly.

"She called me a goody two shoes and said I was a prude!" Lorry threw her hands up in the air, some of the money papers flew up as well and Lindsey hurried to catch them all.

"Look, I know she's a little... much, but we're sort of... friends, I think. And she actually came to see me at work today while I was on break. That was pretty nice of her, right?"

"Yeah, I guess" Lorry crossed her arms, feeling defeated, "I just don't get what her problem is with me..." a few silent minutes later Lorry looked up at her sister as if something had just hit her, "why did she come to see you at work anyways? Is something going on between you two?"

"What?!" Lindsey said hurriedly, her face turning completely red, "no- No! Why would you think that? We're just friends, sort of. She just wanted to chat, asked when I planned on moving into the dorm"

"Okay...?" Lorry said, "if not Riley, then are you seeing anyone? Anyone at all?"

"...no. I suck at flirting anyways. They always think I'm just being friendly" Lindsey sighed defeatedly, "and sometimes I'm overly friendly and it makes people uncomfortable. Like today at the supermarket..."

"What happened?"

"There was this really pretty girl who needed my help with finding something, but of course I acted like my usual self and made her run away from me. I mean that literally by the way. I saw her at the parking lot when I was on my break and waved at her. She basically flew away with her car when she saw me waving at her. What's wrong with me, Lorry? Why don't people like me?" She asked, feeling absolutely helpless.

"Nothing's wrong with you, hun! And people do like you! That girl was probably just nervous cuz you're so pretty. I mean seriously, you're like the most gorgeous person on the planet" Lorry grinned.
