The sun shined into the room and lit up the place. AJ got woken up by a phone call and didn't recognise where she was until she saw Riley wake up next to her and remembered the previous night.

Riley sat up and groaned as she rubbed her head. The loud sound of Riley's phone ringing made AJ's head hurt as well. She watched Riley pick up the phone in a groggy voice.

"What?" She asked and listened as whoever it was on the other side of the phone spoke. Riley frowned which made AJ get nervous.

"Right now? Are you serious?" Riley said with a rougher tone, "okay, fine, I'll be there in ten minutes"

Riley hung up the phone and sighed. Then she looked at AJ with an angry glare. AJ gulped down her saliva.

"Who was it?" She asked.

"Lindsey. She says she needs to talk to me about something right now and that it's an emergency" Riley explained. She seemed pissed about being woken up and her makeup had smudged a lot which made her look even scarier.

"Oh..."

"Does this have anything to do with you?" Riley asked, impatiently as she got out of the bed and started putting on her shoes.

"No, no" AJ said. Why would it have anything to do with her. Oh, god, unless Lindsey wanted to talk about how crazy AJ was for thinking they were gonna kiss after the movie. Maybe Lindsey would try to get a new roommate now or start avoiding AJ. What would happen? All the worries she had had before getting drunk came back and AJ wished she could have more alcohol.

"See you later" Riley said and left, banging the door shut behind her. AJ was left alone in bed, feeling like absolute shit and not just because of the awful hangover. She wanted to cry. She absolutely wanted to cry. And there was nothing that could calm her down. And so the tears rolled down and she finally let her heart out to an empty room. She sobbed quietly so no one would hear and she tried to calm down the pain in her throat or the pressure her stomach felt.

AJ cried for about twenty minutes until she was able to stop. Then she got out of the bed and walked up to a small round mirror on the wall. She looked like shit too. Her hair all messy and her eyes puffy. One good thing was that if Lindsey had an emergency thing she needed to talk to Riley about then that meant that they probably wouldn't be in the dorm, so AJ could go back and take a shower and maybe she would have enough time to sneak away to the library without running into either of the girls.

Also she had a lecture later in the evening so she would be busy for most of the day. Maybe Lindsey would just forget about the whole thing...

"I'M FREAKING OUT, MAN!" Lindsey shouted at Riley. The two were standing behind the academy. Most of the snow had melted and the grass was showing in some of the places. It was still cold af though.

"Okay, well maybe if you told me what you're freaking put about, I could help you" Riley said and rubbed her forehead. Lindsey's obnoxious voice was not helping her headache.

"Okay... okay... don't kill me for not telling you earlier... here it goes..." Lindsey warned, took a deep breath and started, "I've sort of had a bit of a crush on one of the students here"

Riley raised her eyebrows in surprise and listened carefully.

"And before, I didn't know if she liked me back or not... and yesterday she kinda confirmed that she did... basically we almost kissed..." Lindsey spoke awkwardly, feeling embarrassed for what she was gonna say.

"Almost?" Riley asked with a calm voice.

"I totally freaked out and did something stupid. I told her it was late and left to go to sleep, but when I came back out she was gone. I feel like I totally blew the whole thing"
