It'd been what felt like a few weeks since both Adryn and Eclipse were brought to The Entity's realm. Neither of them had seen the killer that had been brought with them, despite other survivors letting them know that it was some form of monster. They said that it never had any other form, but heard rumors from the killers that it was actually some humanoid creature that was able to turn into a monstrous creature. Even the killers didn't see it often though, as it kept to itself.
Adryn and Eclipse were in every trial together, as it seemed that they had a co-dependence thing going on with the other. So, taking pity on them, The Entity kept them together. She'd separated them before, only for them to have breakdowns without the other. They were seemingly useless without each other.
On this particular day, it was the women's first time going against The Mastermind, with Meg and Claudette in a realm with a lot of corn, as Adryn put it to Eclipse. They were working on a generator with Meg and as they worked, Eclipse and Meg chatted about things. Adryn kept quiet and just did her work. While Eclipse had befriended every other survivor and a few killers, Adryn was standoffish with everyone other than Eclipse. It was almost like Adryn was afraid of the other people, so she didn't talk too much. She actually let Eclipse talk for her sometimes.
They could hear that The Mastermind was getting closer, but when Meg was suddenly torn off the generator, Eclipse and Adryn scattered. It wasn't like it was near being done anyway, so they just figured they'd get somewhere safer first. But the two had scattered off in different directions. So, Adryn hid somewhere and listened to Meg scream as she was hooked. She knew that she'd be next to be found. The Mastermind had been trying to get her ever since he moried Claudette, as Adryn had been hooked twice already just as Claudette had been.
Adryn knew that The Mastermind knew where she was. She didn't do hiding very well. Partially from not caring but also from not being good at this. So, as she tried to move, The Mastermind caught her and threw her against a tree.
"Fuck, that hurt..." Adryn muttered as she slowly got back to her feet, only for him to just be standing there staring at her.
"You could try harder, you know." The Mastermind spoke to Adryn, in a slightly mocking voice. Adryn sighed and shrugged her shoulders.
"If I cared, sure I could. I just want this to be over so I can go take a nap." The Mastermind was a little surprised to hear this, as most of the other survivors reacted to him with fear, while she didn't react to him at all. It was almost like she found him to be a disturbance to her life. So, figuring that he should just get this over with, Wesker started his mori, but Adryn smacked his sunglasses off, partially because she hated his smug look, but also because she did have a little fight in her. Adryn gasped as she froze, which caused him to pause out of curiosity. "Your eyes are beautiful," Adryn muttered as she stared up at him, feeling more things than she'd felt since entering The Entity's realm. His glowing eyes looked down at Adryn as she reached up at him. He didn't move out of surprise of his own until her ice-cold fingertips touched his cheek just under his left eye. "Beautiful." This seemed to snap him out of his trance as he continued with the mori. As Adryn was ravaged by Uroboros, she laughed and thanked The Mastermind.
"NO!" Eclipse had finally found them, only to see Adryn be moried. As The Mastermind finished the mori, he turned to Eclipse, who was already running off. She hoped to find Meg, or at least just get away from him before he could get to her.
This left a very confused and conflicted Mastermind behind. He touched his face where Adryn had and frowned. He never had anyone tell him that his eyes were beautiful, nor laugh and thank him for being moried. He made a mental note that the one with black hair and green eyes was a strange one. He didn't even know her name, nor did she know his. Her eyes were just seared into his mind, the dull lifeless eyes burned bright with something he couldn't place as she stared into his own eyes. He merely shook off these strange feelings he'd felt and continued the trial.
