A little bit later, Adryn woke up but felt nothing beside her. She knew instantly that Wesker wasn't there anymore. Her eyes snapped open as she sat up, looking around in confusion. She was still in their bedroom, but Wesker wasn't anywhere to be seen. He never left her alone to sleep, not anymore. He always stayed with her for safety reasons. So, this told Adryn that something was wrong. She could feel it too.
So, Adryn slipped out of bed and left the room. The door wasn't even locked. Once in the hallway, Adryn heard nothing. There was no yelling, no talking, no stomping. Nothing. Fear and panic filled Adryn immediately as she couldn't sense anyone either.
The sounds of her bare feet walking down the hallway echoed back at her as she crept toward the living room. As she entered the room, she realized that the mansion was empty. Feeling even more fear now, Adryn left the mansion only to walk into pure darkness.
Black fog surrounded her completely for a moment, until a path opened up, guiding Adryn toward the campfire. All around her as she walked was black fog. She was afraid of what would happen to her if she wandered off the path.
As Adryn walked toward the campfire, she was careful to not step on anything like sticks or rocks. She carefully made her way to the campfire and slowly began to hear the crackling of the fire. It was a welcomed sound as she hadn't heard anything else, not even wind once she got outside. Once there, Adryn just sat down on a log.
"What is going on right now? I must be sleeping. This has to be a dream... right?" Adryn muttered to herself as she looked around. She saw nothing but the light of the campfire. Not being able to see anything past the light or the fog scared Adryn.
"This is indeed a dream, Adryn. You're still asleep next to Albert. I needed some time to talk to you alone." The Entity spoke up, startling Adryn. She jolted on the log and looked around as if she'd be able to see something. "You are going to be giving birth to a baby girl. This baby will be special and will be the one to give me a physical body."
"What?" Adryn felt her blood run cold at this.
"No one has ever been able to become pregnant in my realm. Your pregnancy is my chance at freedom. I want this baby girl to be born, so I can take her and use her body for my own."
"You can't have my baby! That's not cool and is not happening."
"If you'd like, I can kill everyone in this realm, permanently. Or, you can go along with my plan. You won't tell anyone and you won't stop me from taking your baby once she's born. This is how things are going to go, there is no stopping it."
"You... You can't! I can't lose this baby. Not another one. Not to anyone or anything!" Adryn began to tear up due to her fears now.
"I'm sorry that this will hurt you, but it's for the best. You and Albert can have more children. This one though is going to be mine. There is no way around this."
"Please..." Adryn broke down sobbing. "Don't take my baby from me. Don't do this to me. I haven't done anything wrong, nor has this baby!" Adryn began to just cry, holding her face in her hands. The Entity listened to her sobbing for a moment before Adryn began to wake up, for real this time.
"If you tell Albert, I will kill him." The Entity got one last threat in before Adryn woke up completely, sobbing in real life as well. Wesker was shocked at this and set his book aside as Adryn sat up and clung to him. He held her as she sobbed on him, his shirt being soaked with her tears as she cried broken sobs and choked on her tears.
"Adryn? What's wrong? Are you alright?" Wesker was nearly going into panic mode, as Adryn hadn't gotten so worked up in so long. Adryn just shook her head against him, she couldn't say anything, not yet.
