Time moved normally again in this new realm. So, a few weeks passed and everyone had settled into their new lives. Adryn had nightmares about losing Wesker for a little while, but he was always there to comfort her and reassure her that he wasn't going anywhere. He couldn't now. Eclipse had made him permanently immortal.
Eclipse and Taemin became the new leaders of the realm and took good care of everyone. They provided them with everything anyone asked for, within reason. Everyone who'd chosen to stay was happy and content with their new lives.
As mentioned before, Eclipse had begun to change those who wanted to be immortal. Wesker was the first one to become immortal. He and Adryn would remain their current ages and never age for the rest of eternity. Their bodies would still be normal, it was just that their ages stopped changing. Chris and Jill didn't want to be immortal quite yet. They still wanted to age for a little while longer but agreed that one day they'd like to join the others in their immortality.
The seven of them were usually at Eclipse or Adryn's homes all of the time. They sometimes even visited Anna in her cabin in the woods. They were all living peaceful, happy lives together. All waiting for Adryn to finally go into labor. The little bean was just holding on inside of her.
"Can we go over to Eclipse?" Adryn asked Wesker one sunny day.
"You're nearly about ready to give birth, is walking around alright for you?" Wesker asked Adryn, unsure if she should be out of bed or not. She'd been stuck in bed for days.
"I want to go see Eclipse," Adryn spoke again, pouting at Wesker. He was weak to her pouts. So he reluctantly agreed and helped her out of bed. He helped her put her shoes on and then carried her down their stairs to the front door. "I can walk," Adryn muttered as Wesker set her down.
"I know. Just humor me and allow me to carry you sometimes, alright?"
"Fine... You're lucky you're cute." Adryn giggled as Wesker kissed the top of her head.
"Don't be a brat. Let's go." Wesker and Adryn began the short trek to Eclipse's house, which was merely a few feet away from their house. They were nearly there when Adryn felt a pop within her before a rush of liquid came flowing out of her.
"Fuck." Adryn sighed as she realized what had just happened. Wesker wasted no time in getting Adryn to Eclipse's house, which was where they had the birthing room set up.
After hours of labor, and a lot of screaming, cussing, crying, feelings of intense anger and happiness, along with a nearly broken Wesker hand, the baby was born and everything to go with it was done. It was indeed a baby girl, just as The Entity had said it would be.
"What are you going to make her?" Eclipse asked Adryn as she and Jill cleaned up and wrapped the baby up. "What's this little bean's name?" Adryn was handed the little baby and just stared at her. Wesker had already previously stated that he didn't care what Adryn came up with as the name. They'd talked about it a bit, but there was no set name as far as he knew.
"Serenity. I want her name to be Serenity." Adryn replied in a slightly hoarse voice. She was crying again too, this time happy tears.
"Serenity... that's perfect for our daughter." Wesker agreed as he stared down at his daughter. Adryn and Wesker watched as their daughter opened her eyes and were surprised to see a matching pair of Wesker's eyes staring up at them.
"She has your eyes, Albert..." Adryn muttered through even more tears. Adryn then held Serenity up to Wesker. "Do you want to hold her?" Wesker took the little baby in his arms carefully and held her against him. The moment her eyes looked into his uncovered ones, he felt such a strong rush of emotions that he had to sit down on the chair next to Adryn's bed. It must have shown on his face, because Eclipse and Jill quickly left the room, muttering about getting cleaned up and getting their men. "Albert? Are you alright? You look like you're about to cry." Wesker looked up at Adryn, a tear slipping down his cheek confirming what Adryn had thought. She reached out and wiped his cheek, removing the tear. "Albert? You okay?"
"Thank you..." Wesker replied to Adryn, in an uncharacteristically shaky voice. He took a deep breath and steadied his tone before speaking again. "Thank you for being with me, for giving me so much love, for staying with me no matter what, and of course, for giving me our beautiful daughter. I could never have imagined that your appearance in that realm would lead to all of this, but I don't regret a single moment of it." Hearing this from her lover, Adryn began to cry harder.
"I love you." Adryn cried out through her sobbing. "I love our life together. You are everything to me, and now Serenity is everything to me as well." For a moment, they went silent as Adryn tried to stop crying and Wesker tried to not start crying. He couldn't help but be emotional when he looked down at his little baby.
"You are a very special little bean, Serenity." Wesker began as he looked down at his daughter. "You're going to get everything you could ever want and be whatever you want to be. I'll make sure nothing bad will ever happen to you. I love you, with everything I am already." Adryn chuckled at Wesker's words as she calmed down further.
"I'm so happy that everything turned out like this. I'm so thankful to have found you. I just... I just love you so much, Albert."
"I love you as well, Adryn," Wesker replied as the two carefully shared a kiss. Eclipse, Taemin, Chris, Jill, and Anna all walked into the room then. Eclipse went right to Wesker and gently snatched Serenity from him.
"My turn with my goddaughter." Eclipse declared as she walked over to show the others the new addition to their little world. The group began to quietly argue over who got to hold Serenity next and who had to wait. Meanwhile, Adryn and Wesker held each other's hands and smiled at their friends.
"I'm amazed at how everything turned out for us. I couldn't have expected anything better than this." Adryn spoke to Wesker as the others fought over their daughter. Adryn held Wesker's hand tighter and smiled up at him as he looked down at her. "I'm going to enjoy this eternity with you and our little bean."
"I will enjoy this time with you and Serenity as well," Wesker spoke with a smile on his face as he looked at Adryn.
"For eternity?" Adryn asked, just wanting to make sure. She needed to hear it from him. She needed to know that he was planning on sticking with her and their daughter, despite knowing already he'd never leave either of them. It just was nice to hear it.
"For eternity."
