Eternity

Chapter 3

For the next few days, Adryn mostly remained in Wesker's bedroom while he went through many trials. He would come back annoyed and tired but never took out his frustrations on her. He still treated her very well. At night, they slept wrapped up in each other, and even shared a few kisses, in private of course. They did some reading together, but there were only so many books Adryn could read before she lost her patience.

So, when Wesker was off in yet another trial, Adryn decided to wander around the mansion. She wasn't sure what she was looking for but she found the door to the basement and opened it up. Growling and rustling were heard from down there and Adryn decided that sounded like a good time. So, Adryn crept down the stairs and as soon as her feet touched the basement floor, she saw what was creating the growling.

"Taemin?" Adryn wasn't sure if she was seeing correctly, between the dim lighting and the strange look of the man. The man spun around to face her and growled angrily. The man had claws and sharper teeth, but his face was that of Taemin's regardless of the oddities to it. She'd know Eclipse's soulmate anywhere. "Taemin, what's happened to you?" He didn't respond though, not in the way Adryn hoped for.

Taemin charged at her, growling and baring his teeth and readying his sharp claws to attack her. Adryn panicked, gasping out in fear as she closed her eyes for a moment. She then took a step back and ended up bumping into someone. She opened her eyes to see The Huntress behind her with a raised hatchet. Adryn then looked at Taemin, who was on the ground a few feet away looking confused and less upset.

"If you've been here, why haven't you shown yourself to us? Why have you been hiding in this basement? Eclipse has missed you terribly." Adryn spoke but Taemin, now lacking the monstrous features, just looked confused.

"Who...Who are you?" Taemin was obviously under some influence of something, as there was no way that he wouldn't remember Adryn. They had talked all the time in their realm. They were good friends.

"Are you alright? You don't seem right. Have you forgotten about Eclipse and me?"

"Eclipse?" Taemin seemed to recall that name. His mind slowly began to clear and he was left looking at Adryn with worry on his face.

"Come with me. I'll take you to Eclipse. She'll be happy to see you." Adryn held out her hand for him, and he took it. So Adryn walked past The Huntress with Taemin in tow. He allowed her to pull him along, but he was sluggish. He still wasn't fully himself, Adryn could see that. Adryn made her way with Taemin to the survivor's mansion and walked right in with Taemin. Jill was the first to notice her and got annoyed.

"You can't be in here," Jill commented to Adryn, but she was instantly shot down.

"Shut up. This is Taemin. He is Eclipse's soulmate. I found him in the killer's mansion's basement. He needs Eclipse, and she needs him. Go get her." Jill moved to go and get Eclipse, but she'd been in the kitchen and heard the situation. Eclipse walked hesitantly into the room and just began to cry. Eclipse made it halfway to Taemin before collapsing to the ground in tears. Once Taemin saw her, he burst into tears as well. It was obvious whatever was messing with his mind was slowly losing its grip over him.

So, Taemin moved to Eclipse and wrapped his arms around her. They held onto each other as they cried, tears of happiness and relief to have each other again. Adryn walked over to them and smiled down at them. She was glad that she could have helped them out. Before Adryn could say anything though, black fog surrounded the three of them. They were taken away from the room in the survivor's mansion and transported to a room that was just black fog. Adryn was confused and the other two stopped their sobbing to look around in confusion as well.

"Hello, you three are inside of me." It was The Entity's voice.

"What are we doing here? What's going on?" Adryn asked in confusion and concern. She didn't like that they were suddenly away from the normal realm.
