The two went to their bedroom, ignoring the annoyed looks from the others who'd heard their sexy times. Once they got to their bedroom, Adryn sat down, while Wesker paced in front of her.

"What's going on? You're worrying me." Adryn was indeed quite worried. She could become sick if she was any more worried.

"I requested a trial with your two friends in it. I wanted to hear Eclipse's explanation of what she meant." Wesker's words were calm, but Adryn didn't react as calmly as Wesker was.

"I'm sorry, what?!" Adryn stood up and was instantly offended. "Why didn't you just ask me?"

"I wanted to hear it from her first since you were sleeping. I wanted something to compare your explanation to." Adryn didn't like this but sat back down as she frowned at Wesker.

"What did Eclipse have to say about my mental health?"

"She didn't wish to talk about it at first. However, after some convincing, she told me. You were previously diagnosed as bipolar, then later on in life as schizophrenic. You also have ADHD and slight dyslexia. Along with severe anxiety." Wesker's voice was calm, as Adryn began to become angry, but Wesker continued. "She also told me that you had a failed long-term relationship along with a death of a beloved pet. She wasn't too specific but she said you two had argued over these things before coming to this realm. It was why she hadn't been with you that night. Eclipse also stated she was sorry for stating those things in such a harsh way, she'd just been hoping that I would end things with you once I found out your imperfections." Adryn was furious that Eclipse told him all of that. She had to calm down before speaking to Wesker.

"That's all true. But there was a lot more to me killing myself than a breakup and a dead cat."

"What other causes are there then?"

"Someone like you wouldn't understand."

"Make me understand."

"I just..." Adryn paused as she thought about what she wanted to say. "I just never really felt cared about or loved by my family. They bought me everything I wanted, sure, but no amount of materialistic things can make up for the hole they put in my heart. I was... am a disappointment to them. No matter what I did. I wasn't well-liked by anyone either. All that negativity wore me down. Losing my boyfriend and my oldest cat within the same year just caused everything to be too much." Wesker could sense that there was more to this, but Adryn continued so he couldn't question anything. "I guess the guilt I felt was eating me up too."

"Why did you feel guilt?"

"I poisoned someone. I don't know if they died or not, but I felt bad about it. Even though the person deserved to be murdered. I still felt bad about what I'd done." Adryn sighed as she looked down, waiting for Wesker to speak. He didn't though. So she looked back up to see him looking at her intently. "So... After hearing all of this, after knowing I'm not perfect anymore, not that I was in the first place, are you still interested in me?" Wesker wanted to answer, but Adryn kept talking. "I mean, I don't know why you ever were interested in me anyway. I'm fat, short and I have a pretty bad personality. Why even care about me in the first place? Unless it's all been a lie?"

Wesker saw the clear hurt and pain behind her eyes. He didn't want to admit it, but seeing that hurt in her, hurt him. Wesker didn't respond to her, he simply walked to her, pulled her to her feet, and held her close to him. He wrapped his arms around her, but she stood there stiff and frozen. He held her to his chest as he finally spoke up.

"Do you want me to lose interest in you? Do you want me to not care?"

"If you stopped caring, or never did in the first place, then I'd be heartbroken. In the beginning, it was fine if you were using me, but now, I'd be upset if that is all our relationship is." Wesker nodded his head, as he still kept a tight hold on Adryn. She tried to look up at him, but he put a hand on her head and held it against his chest.
