Once Adryn and Wesker were outside of the mansion, neither even spared a glance toward where Wesker's belongings were. They made their way right to the campfire, hoping that no one else was there. They didn't need anyone to get in their way at that moment.
"Hey! Are you here?!" Adryn called out once at the campfire. "I have a question that you need to answer!"
"I did warn you to not get drunk." The Entity responded instantly. "Why did it take you two so long to realize this? It took Anna bringing it up for you to even think of the possibility. I'm disappointed in you two. Adryn, you've been pregnant before, you should know the signs."
"Yes, but I'm also an idiot. I'm sorry for that."
"A genius such as you, Albert, should have seen this before Anna pointed it out." The Entity was teasing them. Which neither appreciated. "Yes, Adryn, you are carrying a child. Wesker's child. The baby was conceived the first time you two had sex."
"I just..."
"Yes, you drank plenty of alcohol last night, even so, the life in you is fine. I protected it from the alcohol, as I've been closely watching you. I did look away for some parts, of course." Feeling completely and wholly overwhelmed, Adryn had to sit down on a log. She was stunned and honestly terrified. While Adryn's emotions were written on her face, Wesker was neutral and wasn't showing anything that was in his mind. "Adryn, you will not be in any trials for the indefinite future, as I don't want anything to happen to the baby. I will be watching you closely, so you should feel safe, as I want nothing more than this baby to be born."
Adryn looked up at Wesker, hoping for something from him, only to receive nothing. His face was illuminated by the fire, but there was nothing written on it. He was blank. Though his eyes did hold something within them, Adryn wasn't sure what it was. Tears slowly came to her eyes, as she tried to keep herself calm. The bunch of emotions she'd been holding in and the new feelings she felt were overflowing and spilling out all at once.
"Congratulations, Adryn, Albert. You will be the parents of the first baby to exist here in my realm. However, time moves differently here. It's faster. The baby will be just fine though, as Adryn, your body has grown accustomed to the time here. So you two should celebrate without worries, and without alcohol. Nothing will go wrong with this baby." Both Adryn and Wesker were able to feel that The Entity left them to themselves. This is when Adryn broke down completely. She wasn't sure if her tears were happy or sad. The only thing she knew was that she was sobbing.
Adryn covered her face as she sobbed to herself. She was overwhelmed and emotional with every different emotion she was capable of feeling being felt all at once. Adryn's sobs turned broken as she tried to continue breathing right, but failed at breathing altogether. Hearing this, Wesker seemed to break out of whatever trance he'd been in. He crouched down to her level and reached out to her.
"My dear, are you alright?" Just as Wesker's hand was about to land on Adryn's leg, she stood up and moved away from him. She faced away from him and dropped her hands to her sides as she slowly calmed down. Different emotions taking over. "Adryn, what's wrong?"
"What isn't wrong? I'm not prepared for this. I don't know how to handle or deal with a baby. I'm not even sure if I can handle this. What if I lose another baby?" Adryn spoke as she turned to face Wesker, tears still streaming down her face, just more calmly now. Wesker carefully approached her and this time Adryn allowed his touch. He pulled her against him, wrapping his arms around her.
"I am quite surprised as well, but you are pregnant now. This is happening. There is no use in thinking about what could go wrong. We just need to focus on you and our baby now. That is what is most important." Wesker's tone was serious and precise. It held no emotion stating how he truly felt at that moment.
