They wish for the years to stop, but they can do nothing but watch. They were fascinated as candles were replaced by light bulbs, and telephones replaced letters. Each of them is as curious as the other, so they welcome the new changes as they come. They updated their Kingdom with each new invention as the world evolved.

Something they couldn't stop was the erosion of their Kingdom. Each crashing wave against the cliffs slowly chipped away at the rock. Little by little, their island shrank, forcing them to make a new place to live as they knew that eventually, there would be nothing left of their island. The King's horde alone is enough to pay for a new island and then a thousand more, but they just make a small village of their own. A safe haven for all mythical creatures.

With all the changes they embraced, there's one that they didn't like so much. More and more humans are being born with quirks. It got to the point that being born quirkless was rare.

Their world went from horse carriages and forests to vrooming cars and concrete jungles. The Kings 'bought' a large plot of land where their houses are as well as the dragon mountain and the surrounding forest. They secretly would fight in any wars, people trying to take their home, they couldn't have that.

A lot of them ended up getting jobs, not for the money they did not need the money but rather as a way to pass the time and to have dragons in certain areas such as passports and IDs since it would be a bit weird having to renew them so often and noticing how they haven't aged.

In the twenty-first century, the Kings work as heroes, a new job that came with a superhuman society. The King's look like they're in their early twenty's even though they're over eight hundred years old. That's still young in dragon years. Sachiko looks just slightly younger than them, which can be a bit awkward when explaining that he is, in fact, their biological son.

"What's on today's schedule?" Eijiro asks, followed by a yawn coming out of their bedroom. Their house is self-built. They kept it in a more traditional Japanese-styled house, tall enough for Izuku and Katsuki and spacious for when ones from their Kingdom want to visit. They've got rooms to spare and a nice garden to bask in the sun in.

"Greet the new first years at UA. Patrol for me and Kacchan starting at twelve till nine. Talk show for Sho and Eiji at five, and that's it," Izuku replies while pouring himself a cup of coffee. Eijiro comes up giving him a hug from behind "Not too bad then," that's when Katsuki walks in "No but you're forgetting that Aizawa gave us a warning for some reason about coming to see his class today."

Something the Kings were very careful about was their private life. They're one of the very few hero's who keep their real identity secret. They want to be able to walk the streets without being bombarded with fans. This means they all wear masks and for Shoto a hood. Izuku's hare like mask and metal mask hides his face well, and the dark holes for his eyes hide them completely, unlike Katsuki's, which means he has to wear contacts to change the colour. Katsuki also has an eye covering mask and a thin fabric mask that he can pull up over his nose.

Eijiro has a full-plated face mask that frames the bottom part of his face and covers the top half completely with mesh eye holes and spikes his hair up. Finally, Shoto has a hood that's designed with a magnet that connects to the one that covers the top half of his face so it won't come flying off. The mask covers his scar as well as lenses that hide the colour of his mismatched eyes. His long hair gets braided to help keep it back as well.

They leave their house in civilian clothes with their costumes in a duffle bag. It's not until they park up at UA that they change. Izuku and Katsuki always feel different when they have their costumes on, cooler, tougher, and more like themselves. "Let's show these kids what real heroes look like!" Together, they walk through the entrance of UA and walk through the empty corridors since classes are on.
