"Carlos harassed me last night, mom!" sumbong ko nang bumisita si mommy sa condo ko.

Her brows furrowed bago natatawang nilapag ang cake na binili niya. I'm standing behind her at hinihintay kung ano ang sasabihin niya. Tears lined in my eyes when I remember what happened last night. It was traumatizing.

She turn to face me. "What? What are you saying, Suzein?"

"I'm telling the truth! Pumunta siya rito kagabi and he tried to kiss me without my consent! We can sue him for that!" Tumaas baba ang dibdib ko dahil sa sigaw ko. "If hindi ko siya napigilan baka may masama nang nangyare sa 'kin!"

She scoffed in disbelief. "Suzein! What the hell are you saying?! Carlos won't do that to you! He respect you! Five years na kayong magkasama at ngayon lang ito nangyare!"

"He was drunk last night! He harassed me, mom! My god! Please... believe me!" umiiyak kong sigaw.

My whole condo unit filled with the noise of my sobbed. My mom shook her head like she don't believe whatever I'm saying! I'm her daughter and I got harassed last night! She should protect me pero iba ang ginagawa niya ngayon at pinaparamdam sa 'kin! Like, parang mas naniniwala pa siyang hindi iyon magagawa sa 'kin ni Carlos!

She massaged her forehead and put her hand on my dining table. "Darling, I suggest that you should take your meds again."

My eyes widened at hindi makapaniwalang tumingin sakaniya. "Mom! How can you..." I shook my head while my tears fell on my cheeks like waterfalls. "How can you do this to me?! I'm not depressed anymore! I recovered! Bakit hanggang ngayon hindi mo parin kayang maniwala sa 'kin?! I followed everything that you want me to do! I'm your daughter and can you please be considerate?!"

"Suzein, listen!"

"No! I don't want to listen to you!"

"Suzein! Carlos won't do that to you! And, how can you say that he harass you when you two is in a relationship?! Why are you like that?! Bakit nagkakaganyan ka na naman?! Is it about your work? Pagod ka na?! You know you can't just let all of this fall! You already started it at mahihirapan ka nang lumabas!"

"Mom! Pagod na pagod na akong gawin 'to! Ayokong gawin 'to simula pa lang! And, dahil sa ginawa ni Carlos kagabi he made me realize how dirty he is! He's a pervert!"

"Suzein! Watch your mouth! Hindi kita pinalaki ng ganyan! Dumating ka lang dito sa pilipinas ay nagrerebelde ka na naman!"

I wipe my tears away. "If you won't believe me then fine! But, I don't want to see Carlos again!"

She let out a long heavy sigh. "Darling, how can I believe you? You don't have proof!"

My brows knitted. "Mom, isn't my words enough for you?"

"Words isn't enough sometimes lalo na kapag ganito ang usapan, Suzein! Lying is bad! Think before doing it! Masama ang magakusa agad sa isang tao! People won't believe you lalo na sa mga mata nila ay mabait si Carlos! He's helping other people pati ikaw!"

I cried. "Are you accusing me of lying?"

"Kasi inaakusahan mo rin ang taong walang ibang ginawa kundi ang tulungan ka!"

Tears fell on my cheeks. My hands are trembling because of anger. I wanted to scream and curse but I don't have a voice to say it out loud. How can I be brave? Tama nga si Trivan. Sunod sunuran parin ako hanggang ngayon.
