Niall's Pov

"Hey! wait up man!" I called, running across the grass to Jacob.

"Uh, hey" he said, awkwardly.

"Whats up?" I asked.

"Oh, just, going somewhere..." he answered.

"Where?" I smiled.

He looked away into the distance, "uh, no where"

"Alright then" I chuckled as we continued walking. An awkward silence was shared before I stopped, grabbing my vibrating phone out of my pocket. I smiled, reading the text.

From: Tabby

"I miss you xx"

From Niall to: Tabby

"I miss you too xx"

I shoved my phone back into my pocket, looking up again. Jacob's eyes staring at my every action.

It's kinda strange, he's never acted this way before. I shrugged it off, smiling as we proceeded walking along the courtyard.

"Hey, dude..." I started.

"Hmm?" he looked up.

"What's wrong?"

"What do you mean what's wrong? Nothing's wrong"

"There is something wrong" I raised an eye brow.

"Don't worry"l about it" he forced a smile before looking down at his feet again.

What's wrong with him? Why is he acting weird? He's been my best friend since we were ten years old where we learnt guitar together. He's never acted this way before.

"Jacob, what's wrong?" I repeated.

He shrugged, "nothing"

"Dude, just tell me" I said, standing still, turning to face him.

"There's nothing wrong man"

"Just tell me"

"I can't"

"Why not?" I asked, his eyes scanning me as he bit his bottom lip, "is it about Tabitha?"

"Niall... It's.... I can't really... Just don't worry" he stuttered.

"Is it?"

"Niall, don't worry" he repeated.

"Tell me" I begged, "please?"

"I can't really tell yo--"

"Hello" the sweet voice of my girlfriend sounded as fingers entwined with mine.

"Hey beautiful" I smiled, pecking her lips as the rest of our friends jumped over.

"Ew" Sydnee remarked as she walked past Jacob, scanning him with disgust. Louis laughed as Sydnee whispered something to him, making Jacob feel uncomfortable.

"Dude, I'll see you later" he said, running his hand through his hair.

"Alright" I replied as he walked off.

Tabitha smiled as I turned to face her, "hi"

"Hi" I slightly chuckled, brushing my nose against her cheek before pressing a kiss to it.

We made our way towards the café sitting down and ordering like usual. Tabitha and I's fingers entwined again as we waited for our drinks, our friends bickering about whether or not Hulk was on steroids. I looked into Tabitha's eyes, her perfect blue-green orbs glinting as the shadowy sunlight hit it. I smiled, kissing her nose before turning back to our friends and joining their conversation.
