Ryuko was currently riding up the elevator with Eri to the top floor of the agency, where the semi-penthouse suite served as her actual home. One of only 2 places in the building that required passcode entry.

After punching the passcode into the elevator's keypad, Ryuko felt sick in her gut, and it wasn't just from overeating earlier.

Eri gave her a concerned look. "Are you ok, Mama?"

She made a brave face. "Yes, I'm fine, sweetie. Don't worry about me."

Truth be told, Ryuko was anything but fine. The moments before Midoriya left were still running on a loop in her mind. If not for Eri's presence, Ryuko might have given in and broken down into a panic attack by now.

It was ridiculous to Ryuko. How could she be attracted to him, let alone this intensely? He was just a kid, still in high school. A first-year, no less!

'Why?! Why am I like this? What the hell is wrong with me?!'

Ryuko was wracking her brain for anything to explain why this was happening, but she was exhausted. Today had been a long day of ups and downs, and she just wanted it to end.

"Do you still wanna watch the movie, Mama?" Eri asked cautiously.

But Ryuko still had her duties as Eri's new guardian. She had promised the girl to watch Eri's favourite movie with her, 'How to Train Your Dragon.' It was also a favourite of Ryuko's when she was the girl's age.

"Of course, sweetie. I wouldn't miss it for anything." Ryuko put on a smile.

The pro figured that focusing on something else, for now, might be for the best. After all, it's not like the answer was just going to fall into the dragonesses lap.

Eri jumped for joy. "Yes! If only Papa was here. It was his favourite movie too!"

"Really? I guess that makes sense given the Quirk he has over there."

Ryuko mused though she didn't want to think too hard about Midoriya right now. However, Eri continued.

"Yeah, Mama showed him the movie when he was feeling sad. Papa said it was one of the reasons why he was glad he was Mama's mate."

Ryuko froze.

'Mama's mate? So, they did mark each other...'

Slowly but surely, a realisation made its way into her mind.

Eri tilted curiously. "Mama? You're being quiet again."

Ryuko shook her head. "Oh, sorry, Eri. A thought just crossed my mind."
