"Ok... so what do you need to talk to us about?"

Jirou asked, sitting next to Ashido and Hagakure, all of whom looked quite bewildered.

Denki looked uneasily at his green compatriot. "Uh... Do you wanna...?"

Izuku looked at the girls, going over what to say in his mind.

Gathering the girls during recess in a quiet part of the cafeteria wasn't simple, not that they were hard to find; it was that Kaminari had to get Izuku to snap out of his melancholy and talk to them.

And bless the spark plug's heart, the guy refused to let Izuku do nothing.

The words he said were still fresh in the greenette's mind...

--

"...What do you mean, you don't wanna deal with this right now!? Isn't this urgent?" Denki practically threw up his hands.

Izuku was not in the mood for this. Part of him knew he had to converse and mitigate some of the damage that's been caused.

But after lying to Ryukyu, he just felt like crap.

"I just can't right now, Kaminari... Maybe later."

Denki had squinted hard back at him. "Ok, Dude. What's wrong with you?"

Izuku shrugged nervously. "Nothing important..."

"That's clearly a lie, man. You weren't this bad a while ago. Was Ryukyu really that pissed?" His expression shifted with concern.

Izuku reacted defensively. "No... I... I-"

The boy lurched forward, disheartened.

He didn't know if it was due to his guilt or because he had confided in Kaminari before, whether he wanted someone to reassure him or reprimand him.

But for the life of him, he told Kaminari the truth.

"-I lied to Ryukyu... I told her everything was fine... I've screwed up so hard..." Izuku could feel tears of frustration forming in his eyes.

"Oh, man..." Denki mouthed, unsure what to say.

Izuku just continued his rambling.

"It's bad enough with everything else I've already done, and now I've betrayed her trust, and when she finds out..."

The boy just shut his eyes as if trying to block himself from finishing that thought.
