Ryukyu was single...
Ryukyu was available...
Izuku could barely contain his jubilation. Even while mopping the lobby floor, he could feel a sense of relief and even a little hope.
The practical part of the green teen knew that Ryukyu's not having a boyfriend didn't resolve much. She might not even be looking for a relationship, and that's not even mentioning the slew of other problems he thought about at lunch earlier.
'Plus, she said she's turned everyone down for her job...'
Despite all this, though, Izuku didn't stop smiling. If anyone looked at him, they might be more than a little confused about how someone could be so happy while being punished.
A thought clearly on Clara's mind despite not saying anything—perhaps she had more important things to focus on at her desk.
Nejire had yet to arrive, leaving Izuku to work on his own inside, which he was strangely grateful for as it gave him time to think.
Every time he spoke with Ryukyu, there was much to consider and meditate on. This time was no different...
There was Dozer's Quirk, a fun thing to contemplate with all its potential uses, but that's just Izuku's hobby.
Then there was what she said about her case and UA... something that still bothered him...
The more he thought about it, the more the idea of asking Ryukyu not to do something without providing an alternative seemed wrong. But again, coming up with a solution wasn't easy... especially with so much on his mind.
Last but not least was an issue the young man had been thinking about significantly lately...
He still wasn't satisfied with why he felt so strongly about Ryukyu. She was clearly beautiful and admirable, but those reasons felt so shallow.
With each meeting he had with her, Izuku concluded more and more that this felt anything but shallow. With this recent encounter, he was sure this, at the very least, wasn't a simple hero crush.
'I don't think it's normal to be this happy over someone being single...'
Izuku barely knew her, yet Ryukyu had this profound, lasting effect on him. Sure, they've had some rather unique and close interactions, but... it all felt so sudden.
For all the joy these feelings brought, they also unnerved him. His anxiety couldn't help but make him wonder if these new emotions left him blind to a glaring problem he had yet to consider.
'Wait... what about Eri's tutor?'
Izuku's mind shifted gears to the new tutor Eri received. He was curious, to say the least.
'I'm almost done here... Should I go straight up to level six where they are and start cleaning there?'
