A cascade of colours illuminated a long, dark corridor. Countless swirls moved across the walls as they passed a man leaning against the wall's surface. His red eyes rolled as he heard loud thuds on the ground approaching him.

"What do you want this time, dragon?"

From the shadows, Tempest erupted and stood before Taimuro, glaring down at the crimson-eyed Vestige.

Where do you get off, lecturing my sister and Izuku!?

He sighs as he looks to the side. Tempest had called him out earlier because she wanted to talk to him mono-a-mono. Taimuro didn't want to talk with her, but the dragon had a look bordering on violence.

"I told them what no one else, including themselves, would say. They weren't going to last long otherwise. I did them a favour."

Yeah, well, you didn't have to be a dick about it! 'Mark or not, there's still a choice,' huh? You don't know what it's like dealing with a mark! You have no clue at all! You don't get to lecture Ryuko about that!

"Whether I have a clue or not, do you think most people would view it any differently? How many will lecture her regardless of whether they understand? How many will say she should avoid the boy and get therapy? I'm almost certain some of the people they intend to tell like this, Hadena, will say something like that. Am I wrong?"

Tempest gritted her fangs. No... But that doesn't make you not a dick.

"Rather than chiding me for my 'dickishness,' dragon, you should be trying to help your sister ensure she can answer people who say she merely needs therapy or anything else. Believe it or not, I'm not your enemy. I'm merely the one who seems genuinely concerned about being responsible."

She growls. So you keep saying... But fine, you're not wrong. I have better things to do than call you out on your BS.

Tempest starts marching away as Taimuro calls out.

"Previously, you asked me to watch them, and I did. I'll admit they are stronger than I gave them credit for.-"

He sighs.

"-I don't wish for them to fail. I've seen too many of our successors fall into despair. I know that losing Ryukyu in any way will likely break Midoriya to some extent, if not completely... and in the trials to come with the League, that would likely spell his downfall and ours... That is the last thing I want. But the possibility of failure is high, no matter what is done. And I can't help but wonder if cutting this relationship short, preventing their feelings from running any deeper than they have, will spare the pain in the long run."
