The sound of his feet slapping the stone, rang through her ears. Desperately clambering up the stairs, she dashed the lantern away. Wasting no time, she swung open the door darting out into the halls. She knew he'd catch up soon, but still pushed herself.
As she sprinted towards her bedroom, she felt something passing near her. Peeking to the side of her, the door she ran out of a few seconds ago went flying past her. Widened eyes, she quickly glanced back, his ruby eyes focused on her.
"Fuck!" She cursed. She could feel her legs tensing up. Squeezing her eyes shut, she persevered through .
A mere second away from the heavenly gates of the bedroom, when just as she pushed open the door, a fist banged on the wall beside her. Hairs stuck up on her arms, her eyes slowly meeting his. They were darker than ever before, almost black. Scooping her up into embrace, his head nuzzled into the crook of her neck. Meanwhile, she stood there frozen, arms awkwardly raised.Sliding down to her chest, then down to her stomach. She quickly caught his head, big round eyes glancing up at her. Cupping his face, she examined his eyes closer. They seemed to be fading into a sunset orange.
Before she could examine further, a groan broke out from his lips. Grabbing his head, he pushed away from her touch. Hovering over, she attempted to rub his back, yet the blond kept dodging her hands.
"Madame!" Stanford came running in.
"Stanford?" She called. He immediately pushed her behind him, creating a distance between the two.
"Stanford!" She yelled. Golden eyes glanced up at the two, Stanford finally relaxing.
Confusion quickly went to horror as the blond gazed at the two. "Did I hurt her?" His voice was barely audible.
"It doesn't seem that way?" Stanford placed the torch down, sighing.
"I should've never," he muttered. "Why did you enter? Why did you go there?" He turned to face her.
"How was I supposed to know it was dangerous ?" her brows knitted together. Stanford stepped aside.
"No one's said a word to me since I've came here," she folded her arms, looking away. "No one's bothered to explain anything to me."
"Don't you understand?" Sirus rose up. "It's common knowledge that vampires are a danger, you should be conscious of your safety."
Violet rose her head up high glaring at the blond. "And being safe is living in an empty shell of a home?" She scoffed. "Nodding and smiling mindlessly without thinking, Is that the kind of bride you desired?"
"This relationship is merely for show Violet," he argued. "The only thing that connects us is the bond, other than that, this is just another political marriage." His voice was cold and cutthroat. "The only thing that I'm concerned with right now, is keeping your head on your shoulders."
"Mast-"
"Wow," she clicked her tongue.
"Madame," Stanford called. Ignoring him, she pushed her door open, immediately slamming it afterwards. Hugging herself, she pulled her knees into her chest.
"Master you can't speak to a lady like that!" Stanford scolded.
"I simply said the truth," he shrugged. "That's all we are."
A/n
Hiya!! This chapter is really short, sorry. Didn't know how to fit in with the next chapter or previous without it being too long or awkward. Anywho, I hope you've enjoyed the chapters so far💕.
Also this book doesn't have a set time period or anything, it's all really a random daydream I had that I made into this.
