Entangled in each others arms, their naked bodies barely covered with a small blanket. Quietly humming a lullaby, Silas played with Violet's curls. Smiling as each curl he gently tugged on sprung back. Glancing down his chest,Violet began to shift and groan.

"Morning," he wiped the drool of the side of her cheek.

"Morning," she murmured nuzzling her head into his chest. After fussing about in different positions she finally settled one.

"Silas," she played with his hands.

"Yes?" He responded, a sense of dread in his voice.

"I want you to know that I do love you," she traced circles in the palm of his hand. "I know that this relationship didn't exactly have a ideal start or anything, but despite your stubborn self I do like you."

"I l- er...thank you," he mumbled.

"...And I know that all this has been difficult, controlling yourself and all but-" she glanced up at him. "Look at me please."

"I can't," he mumbled.

"Why not?" Her brows furrowed.

"I-I just can't," he faced away.

Sitting herself up, she straddled his hips and caressed his cheek. "Silas I want you to know you don't have to control yourself around me." She placed her hands on the side of his cheeks, his eyes slowly lowering to face her. "If you want to hold me, touch me or whatever," she smiled awkwardly. "You can do whatever."

"I just don't want to hurt you in anyway," Silas frowned.

"Did you hurt me last night?" She wrapped her arms around his neck. Silas bit his lip and glanced away.

"I trust you Silas and I hope that one day you can trust and yourself," she rested her head on his shoulder. "It's hard bottling everything up, the smallest thing can cause you to burst and frankly, these bursts you have their not healthy."she rubbed his back. "You need a release."

Violet felt a droplet on her shoulder. Peering up, she saw Silas' tears streaming down his cheeks. Her lips parted as she watched for a couple of seconds, the moment was so surreal it felt like a dream.

Straightening up, she pulled him into a hug, stroking his head with one hand and his back with the other. His hands  clung onto her desperately as his whole body leant into her.

"I've got you," she ran her hand through his hair.

"S-sorry," he sobbed, coughing and choking as he repeatedly apologised.

"It's fine," she tightened her hold. "I forgive you."

"I'm so-"

Holding the sides of his face, she gently pushed his head up to face her.  "Silas I know your sorry, I know that you've felt guilty all the time I've been with you. I hated it because I felt as if you saw me as a burden, a responsibility merely to be taken care off and nothing else." She sighed her eyes gazing into his. "Sure I've been upset at you for the way you handled me and spoke to me, but what I got frustrated about was that even when you'd make me absolutely hate you, I couldn't for too long because when I looked into your eyes... when I remembered what I saw in the dungeons...I realised it's not only me suffering."

His eye brows knitted together as she spoke. His sparking ruby eyes couldn't help but watch her as she spoke as if he was in a trance. Her voice felt like a cure to all the pain he felt, if only he had let loose sooner. If only they met on ordinary terms. Would things have been a lot smoother?

"Silas, I love you. And I realised I loved you when I couldn't hate you. When I couldn't stand to see you torture yourself and lie to yourself." She shook her head biting down on her trembling lips. "I have hope, that you can be happy. That we can be happy," she picked up his hand kissing his knuckle. "So please, take the chance and show me that this is worthwhile."

"...I'm scared that.."he cleared his throat.

"...That you'll hurt me?" She frowned.

"Partially, but I'm scared that one day if the the bond does somehow break... that you won't love me anymore. That all your feeling were a mere illusion controlled by the curse." His eyes were hollow and puffy, Violet silently wiped his tears away as she listened to his worries. "I'm scared that my nightmares will come true, that one night I might lose consciousness, that I might wake up and y-you're gone." He sniffled. "That I might get too comfortable with your company, that if I do fall deeply in love with you how I'd react to your death.I-"

"Silas," Violet's voice softened, pulling him into a tight embrace. "I never knew such thoughts plagued you so deeply."

"Violet I do love you very much to the point I think I'm going insane. Those couple of days where I thought it would be good to distance myself from you was pure agony. I couldn't help but want you," he admitted. "Every time I walked into a room, I couldn't help but search for you. Anything linked to you. From pens to books and ribbons. Your scent would send me over the edge to the point I'd have to take my stabilisers more than twice a day." He took her hand and pressed his lips against her wrist.

"Violet, I'm so deeply in love with you that I feel like I've tired the word itself out," he chuckled nervously. "I just hope you won't get sick of me, that I'd be able to satisfy your every need." He held onto her hand "That's if you'd be kind enough to accept me of course."

"Of course I accept you," she pressed her lips into his. "That's if you'll accept me," she giggled.

"Always," his eyes fell down to her lips. "May I?"

"You may," she angled her head slightly as he moved closer.
