[Second person pov]

Finally, you had enough time to meet up with your girlfriend after a tiresome day. You were shaking because you had just completed a spades game. You knew you couldn't run if your life depended on it but in this case, you just made it out alive. The moment you caught a glimpse of Ann, you ran towards her and jumped into her arms.

Still shaking, you managed to say a few words.
"I was... in a... spades game and I-" You panted.
"Shhh, hey it's okay sweetheart. You're stronger than the game. You made it out alive," Ann pointed out, trying to comfort you.

You sat on the stairs outside, staring at the full moon. Ann took a seat next to you. She watched your gaze drift slowly between her face and the moon. You felt the warmth of Ann's grasp as she pulled you in and stroked your leg after seeing that it was injured. After a few minutes of staring into the moon, you snuggled up closer to Ann and closed your eyes. The last thing you felt before falling asleep was her soft touch upon your head.

When you woke up, you saw the dim light on the ceiling the glowed on Ann's skin and you felt the warmth of Ann's body on yours. You could've stayed there forever if you didn't have games to play.

You breezed through the next few games because you had Ann by your side. Not only was she incredibly good looking but she was also incredibly smart. There was nothing to dislike about her character.

The wind blew through Ann's damp hair as she leaned towards you.
"You're the best thing that could've ever happened to me," she whispered in your ear.
"What about if you won the lottery or if you-" You protested.
She pulled you in and kissed you so you wouldn't finish the sentence.
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me," Ann whispered before going in for another kiss.

"I love you, Ann." You finally gave in.
