Love on the Line [Banda x Reader]

You were hanging out with your closest and only friends, Banda and Yaba. The games had really messed with your head. Nothing was the same after the Jack of Hearts game.
"What's up with you today?" Banda asked.
"Eh, nothing much," You replied.
Your stomach felt like a bottomless pit. The stress level over the past few days has been over the limit.
After a while, Banda had gotten bored and Yaba was completely fed up. They both decided that they would play another game. They headed to the stairs to try to convince you. Eventually, you gave in and joined them.

"Let's defeat the King of Spades," Banda suggested.
"Sure," Yaba agreed.
You were hesitant because you were terrified of that king. You all headed to the game arena and you sat down in a closed off street.
"Yaba will find the King of Spades and lure him to the closed off street. Y/N, you'll stay here and throw the grenade at him. I'll act as a distraction so it doesn't look like we're luring him to his death."
Banda finished the explanation and handed you a grenade.
Adrenaline punped through your veins as you ran up the stairs. The thrill was scary and unexplainable.

Phase 1: Yaba
"Hey, over here!" Yaba waved his arms around at the King of Spades. It looked like he had a death wish. He probably just didn't care. Regardless of what anyone thought, he continued until the King of Spades started to follow Yaba. Guns were fired and blood was spilled. The world felt hazy.

Yaba finally lured him to the edge of the street. The King of Spades shot at Yaba ruthlessly. He looked like he was out for revenge. Yaba dodged the shots by hiding under a garbage can. The King of Spades lost sight of Yaba through the gunpowder. He ran off toward the crowd. Yaba fell to the ground, panting from the rush of adrenaline.

You wanted to help him out but the King of Spades was still out there. You realised that death could be an option for you, Yaba and Banda. Your grip tightened on the grenade as you shook with fear. Shit.

Phase 2: Banda
Shouting out to the King of Spades was certainly one way to get his attention but it was the way that could achieve certain death. The King of Spades gravitated towards the balcony that Banda leaned against.
"Spady! Over here, you little shit. Catch me if you can."
Banda ran to you and pulled the pin on the grenade.
"Yaba is still down there, you idiot!" You shout at Banda.

The King of Spades ran to the closed off street and Yaba tried to stay as still as humanly possible. The King of Spades fell for the illusion. He thought that Yaba was dead.
"Throw it, bitch!" Banda whispered while gesturing to the grenade.
"But what about Yaba?" You asked.
Banda gritted his teeth and closed eyes.

Fuck it.

Phase 3: You
Standing up with a grenade in hand was stressful but you never thought that you'd have to do it. Without a second thought, you threw the grenade at the King of Spades. It exploded mid-air. You couldn't see anything through the smoke. All you could do was pray that Yaba didn't die.
"Can you see anything?" You asked.
"Yeah. The smoke has sort of faded. Yaba is breathing and so is the King of Spades."
"Shit," you whispered.

"Let's go down. It looks like hes too weak to move because of the impact from the grenade." Banda urged you to move.
You followed Bamda down the stairs.

"Please... put me out of my misery..." the King of Spades' weak voice spoke.

"Fuck, I thought that he was gonna be some ruthless killing machine but no, he's a human just like us," you said as Banda reached for the gun.

"Let me kill him, please." You took the gun out of Banda's weak hands.
"You didn't deserve this. Any of this misery and hurt. Enjoy heaven." You pulled the trigger.

Banda pulled you towards him.
"That was the hottest thing that you've ever done, Y/N."
You were surprised as you felt him push you up against a wall and kiss your neck.

"Finally!" Yaba announced.
He secretly shipped you and Banda.

All the games were finished and you all decided to stay in the Borderlands.
