Y/N and Chota met during a game of Dead or Alive. They could both sense each other's nervousness. Chota asked Y/N if they were okay and they just nodded. A few minutes went by and the elevator opened. The six people entered the elevator and the first round began once the elevator door opened.
"It should be alive, right?" The school girl suggested.
Y/N wanted to say something but they resisted.
"Yeah, open the door and see," Shibuki piped up.
An argument broke out as the time ticked down. The young school girl tried to open the door but Y/N pushed Shibuki into the alive door, killing her. The school girl stared at Y/N in horror.
"What? Don't blame me. I saved your life," Y/N scoffed.
The school girl gulped and stared at the dead woman on the floor.
"Hey, you! Open the dead door!" Y/N shouted at Chota.
He immediately ran for the dead door and swung it open. The five of them went through the door with only seconds to spare.

The five players continued playing and opening doors just in time. The only reason they all survived was because of Arisu's intelligence and Shibuki's unfortunate demise.

As the five exited the building, they thanked each other and parted ways. The next time that Y/N and Chota met was at the entrance to the seven of hearts game.
"Chota? Arisu? Karube?"
"Y/N?" Chota smiled.
"We're just going to play this game because otherwise, Chota's visa will expire." Arisu chimed in.
"I don't have a good feeling about this game. Follow me. I have a better idea." Y/N dragged Chota, Arisu and Karube to another game and they all picked up a phone.

"Difficulty: Two of Spades."
"Clear condition: Players must hold onto the elevator and reach the top without letting go."

"This one seems a lot harder than the one in the garden," Karube scowled.
"Trust me, this one is a whole lot easier and you won't have to die."
"How do you know this?" Arisu asked.
"Let's just say... I know Mira Kano."

"The first two players must step onto the platform now."

Arisu and Karube step onto the platform and held onto the bar. Second by second, their fear developed. Chota glanced at Y/N with a worried expression that stuck on his face. The elevator continued to rise and Karube hoisted himself up and onto the platform. Arisu's body shook as he attempted to lift himself up. He couldn't do it. Tears streamed down Arisu's face as he looked down at the ground below.
"I can't do it," Arisu whimpered.
Karube's eyes were glued to Arisu in fear. He offered to help and Arisu carefully took Karube's hand. Karube used all of his strength to pull his best friend up and it worked. Arisu stood at the top of the elevator in relief.

After the elevator came back down, Arisu and Karube stepped off the platform and hugged Chota and Y/N.

"The final two players must step onto the platform now."

Chota started praying to god as his shaky hands gripped onto the bottom of the elevator. Y/N's teeth chattered and soon enough, the game began. They both stayed calm and limp while they went up, trying to hide their fear. The elevator came to a stop and Chota hoisted himself up. His leg was a burden because it was burnt and it hurt him so much but he did it.

Y/N's body felt heavy and they couldn't pull themselves up. Their grip tightened on the bar. The sweat wasn't helping at all. Y/N quivered in fear as they continuously attempted to lift themself up.
"Hey, darling. Hold onto my hand," Chota offered.
Y/N was scared that if they let go to hold on, Chota wouldn't be strong enough causing them to fall to their death.
"Im too heavy! If I hold onto you, I'll fall and you will too!" Y/N shouted.
"Please let me try," he urged.
They hesitated before taking the man's hand.
After a moment of struggling, Chota managed to pull Y/N up.
Tears streamed down Y/N's face.
"Ha, I thought I was gonna die..." Y/N admitted.

The elevator slowly retreated to the ground and the two ran off the platform in relief.
"You know, we've been in two games together and I think that you should join our team." Chota wrapped his arm around Y/N. "You did save my life after all."
"Hahaha sure!" Y/N smiled.

A few days later, Y/N sat on the floor with tears staining their shirt. Chota had just woken up so he sat beside them.
"Hey Y/N, are you okay? What's wrong?" He asked.
"It doesn't matter but I've just been feeling a little scared about the games because of... y'know my body. I'm not the most fit person and I just don't want to go into a spade game because it'll probably kill me." Y/N explained.
"Shhh it's okay. You did amazing in the two of spades game that was a few days ago," Chota pointed out.
"You had to help me up though. Without you, I would've died," they mumbled.
"Arisu needed help too and you stopped us from going into a really dangerous game. I heard from Usagi that it was a seven of hearts. She was the only survivor."
"Shit..."
"And it's perfectly okay to not be fit. You deserve the best anyway. Either way, I'll always be here for you."
Y/N cried even harder as Chota hugged them.
"I love you," Chota whispered.

"W-what?" Y/N asked. "Do you mean it?"
"Yes. With all my heart." Chota replied.

Chota brought his lips closer to theirs and he waited a second. Y/N leaned into the kiss.
"I love you too, Chota," Y/N whispered.
They cuddled each other on the floor until Y/N stopped crying. Chota wiped the tears from their eyes and told them that they are the best thing that happened to him.
"I feel the same way. I love you," Y/N said.
"I love you too. Now we should meet up with Karube and Arisu. They're waiting for us because we have a game to play and I'm going to make sure that my love survives it." Chota said.
