[Kyuma's POV]

I am a mere speck in this world. They don't care about me. I wanted to live without regrets but there's one mistake I made that will linger in the back of my mind until the day I die.

"I have to leave the band," Y/N broke the news.
"What do you mean? You're the best vocalist out there and we need you for our band to truly thrive." I urged them to rethink.
"My mind is made up and I will miss you all but I need to do something. I'll see you in another life," they explained.

I loved them so I couldn't just let them leave like that. I chased after them.
"Y/N, you can't just leave us!" I shouted.
But they had already left.

I walked barefoot around my playing field, wondering who the players were going to be.
"The players are here," Goken announced.
"We'll meet them now." Uta jumped onto the ground.

"I am the King of Clubs," I introduce myself.
After explaining the rules I stare at a person. I think I know them. Is that... Y/N?

Y/N flinched.
"Did I scare you? Sorry. I believe that I know you. Are you... Y/N L/N?" I asked them.
"...Kyuma? From The Sology? Holy shit I am so sorry m=for not explaining why I left the band. Can I explain the whole story now? Please... before one of us dies." They blurted.
"Sure." I said as I sat down next to them.

"The day that I left the band was the same day that I realised that I... uh- shit this is embarrassing."
"You can tell me. One of us will die so no judgement from me." I looked at them hopefully.
"No judgement here either. Okay, so I sort figured out that I... that I loved you." They paused. "I was too afraid to say anything because I thought you would hate me or kick me out of the band so I thought to myself 'why don't you just leave' and I did. I was about to throw myself off of a bridge in the middle of a busy street but then I remembered you saying 'Y/N, you can't just leave us!' So I stayed. I lived. You're the reason I'm alive. I have to go." They explained.

"Wait! Where to? It wouldn't really matter anyway. And... can I tell you something?" I smiled softly.
Y/N nodded. They smiled at me.
"I fucking loved you too."
I confessed my love to them in a death game where it was either me or them. I felt a wave of guilt creep over my body.

They looked down and tears began to still from their eyes. I was about to say something when that Arisu kid came running in.
"Y/N, what the fuck do you think you're doing with the enemy?!" He shouted.
"I know what you're doing. Ruining a romantic moment," I scoffed.
"What the fuck about life or death is romantic?" Arisu shouted again.
"Calm down, I know Y/N from before these games. They used to be in our band." I explained
"Used to?"
"Yeah, used to."

"We were in the same band together and we were best friends. I just can't process the fact that one of us is gonna die here. I don't want him to die," Y/N mentioned.
"He's a citizen and we need to get back home. I get it you love each other but I want to live."
Arisu rolled his eyes.

I brought my attention to the ground and I thought about Y/N. All of our memories. They were about to be torn apart by Arisu's determination. If only we had met in a different situation. I should've confessed my love to them earlier. I would've punched Arisu if we weren't playing this game.

Arisu dragged Y/N away and I sat down in the container by myself. If I was going to die, I was going to do it without any regrets.

5 minutes remaining.

Arisu approached me and asked if I was okay. I didn't know why.
"Why do you care? You won. Congratulations. My dying wish is for you to tell Y/N that I love them and that I always have," I said.
"Give me a minute. I'll be back." Arisu ran to his base.

After a minute, Arisu ran back with my love.

"I'm sorry I left the band and that I never said that I loved you earlier. I hope we meet in another life." Y/N stepped towards me.

The game was over and the player team won.

Y/N ran towards me and kissed me. I kissed her back. My final moments were probably the best moments of my life. Although I didn't want it to end like this, I was grateful to be with them. After a few minutes, they stepped back and I stared into the sky with my arms out just like I did in my performances.

"I love you, Kyuma," they whispered loud enough so I could hear them.

Tears fell onto the ground from Y/N's eyes as they sat on the ground staring at my body.

"It's okay, Y/N. I'll be okay. I love you," I spoke my final words.

The laser shot down at me.
